1. The term XY was used by Allied aircraft pilots in World War II to describe various UFOs or mysterious aerial phenomena seen in the skies over both the European and Pacific theaters of operations.

Though it initially described a type of UFO reported and named by the U.S. , the term was also commonly used to mean any UFO sighting from that period. Formally reported from November 1944 onwards, witnesses often assumed that the XY were secret weapons employed by the enemy.

Which famous band shares its name with the term?

2.What name is given to a planet that falls within a star's habitable zone, and is often specifically used for planets close to the size of Earth?

Such a planet neither too close nor too far from a star to rule out liquid water on its surface and thus life (as humans understand it) on the planet. However, planets within a habitable zone that are unlikely to host life (e.g., gas giants) may also be referred to by this name. The best example is the Earth itself.

18. This impossibly rare, Atari 2600 game(image next slide) was based on an Old Testament story. The primitive “run and jump” game was created by an independent designer named Steve Stack in 1983. Because of the game's theme it was advertised in religious magazines as well .

The game was never sold in stores and was only available for $34.95 from the manufacturer. As a result, it’s one of the rarest Atari 2600 games, what’s been describe with tongue only partially in cheek as a “holy grail” for collectors. The game wasn’t even known to exist by the collectors market until one cartridge was found at a garage sale in 2007. That cartridge was auctioned off for over $10,000 in 2012.

Which old testament story formed the basis for the game?

19.Where would you find these instructions?

“How to Leave the Planet”

1. Phone NASA. Their phone number is (713) 483-3111. Explain that it’s very important that you get away as soon as possible.

2. If they do not cooperate, phone any friend you may have in the White House (202) 456-1414—to have a word on your behalf with the guys at NASA.

3. If you don’t have any friends in the White House, phone the Kremlin (ask the overseas operator for 0107-095-295-9051). They don’t have any friends there either (at least, none to speak of), but they do seem to have a little influence, so you may as well try.

4. If that also fails, phone the Pope for guidance. His telephone number is 011-39-6-6982, and I gather his switchboard is infallible.

5. If all these attempts fail, flag down a passing flying saucer and explain that it’s vitally important that you get away before your phone bill arrives.”
