As you go through your winter clothes and all of the holiday stuff that you didn't use or

need, consider putting those things aside for Rummage Rampage! Holy Infant's big sale is in June, which is only four months away! By giving your gently used items to Holy Infant in June, you will gain more space and the parish benefits too!

ARCHDIOCESAN LENTEN REGULATIONS The Pope and the American bishops have outlined obligatory fast and abstinence as follows:

Ash Wednesday (March 1) and Good Friday (April 14) are days of abstinence for all Catholics over the age of 14. On these two days, fast, as well as abstinence, is also obligatory for those from the ages of 18-59. Abstinence means refraining from meat. Fast means one full meal a day, with two smaller meals and nothing between meals (liquids are permitted). No Catholic will lightly excuse himself or herself from this obligation.

All Fridays in Lent are days of abstinence from meat. Catholics should not excuse themselves from this regulation, but if there is a serious health problem, this would not apply. We should strive to make all days of Lent a time of prayer and penance. CHRIST RENEWS HIS PARISH

The following men will be presenting the Men’s CRHP Retreat on March 25th and 26th. Please keep them in your prayers:

Bob Bestgen Mike Hey Kevin Montgomery Jeff Castillo Mike Hoffey Chris Reilly Grant Gelert Mike Kelley Paul Schmidt Phil Goodson Jerry Meier Mark Winker

This is a wonderful Lenten opportunity to renew your spiritual life and to connect with other parishioners. To sign up or get information, call Mike Hoffey at (314) 606-0561 or email [email protected].

For the Women’s Retreat on April 1st and 2nd, contact Larissa Kozeny at (314) 518-1844. If you cannot participate at this time but would like us to pray for you during the weekend, place your prayer requests in the “Christ Renews His Parish” box in the back of church.

Can you help us? Call Amy Ratzki at (314) 603-3089 to volunteer food or serving help for the weekends.

Dear Parishioners,

We have been blessed for many years of faithful service from our bulletin editor, Mrs. Mary Winkelmann who will be retiring on March 15th.

I have personally been blessed to have worked with Mary now for over twenty five years. She and her husband Joe have been married nearly 55 years – and have raised 4 wonderful children and have 12 grandchildren. She is a phenomenal woman of great faith! Mary served as my secretary at my previous parish and retired shortly after I was assigned to Holy Infant.

When we decided to expand our weekly parish bulletin from 8 pages to 12 pages and change it to a full-color bulletin, Mary was the first person that I contacted to see if she would be available to assist us in our efforts. I was delighted that Mary immediately accepted the job as our Bulletin Editor!

Over these past years, Mary has done a fantastic job designing our weekly bulletin. She has helped to promote every ministry and organization in our parish in one way or another. Mary is one of those individuals who regularly helps with the “behind the scenes” operations of our parish in designing full page ads, editing announcements, doing graphic design work, fielding emails and telephone calls and putting that “extra special touch” on her work. She has done it all with grace!

As a final gift to our parish, Mary has been training our very own Kris Mispagel, who will assume her duties as our Bulletin Editor. I extend our best wishes and gratitude to Mary for doing such an excellent job and wish her all the very best in her very well-deserved retirement!

Thanks to everyone who helped to make our 4th annual Holy Infant Shamrock Shuffle such a success! This fun, family-oriented event draws over 800 people every year. The 5K/1 mile fun run/walk began at Holy Infant and worked its way through the neighborhoods of Ballwin. Each year, families enjoy this event – complete with Fredbird, a bagpiper, food trucks and lively music! Speaking of St. Patrick’s Day, our annual Holy Infant St. Patrick’s Day celebration is all set for Sunday, March 12th from 1:00 until 7:00 p.m. – we will celebrate our great annual tradition here at Holy Infant – celebrating St. Patrick’s Day as a parish family! We will welcome many guests and visitors throughout this day.

There are many fun activities scheduled throughout the day for people of all ages including carnival games in our gymnasium, Irish Dancers and McNamara’s Band performing on stage, outdoor inflatables, a DJ, bingo and indoor games for the entire family! Come and enjoy a delicious Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner in our Lower Cafeteria. You can also find additional food and beverages being served upstairs. We have a Silent Auction this year that is filled with many fantastic items. Our Basket Raffle has many creative baskets that have been donated this year as well. Our 3 Raffles: the Super Raffle, the Grand Raffle and the Tuition Raffle will be drawn at 7:00 p.m. on stage in our gymnasium. Please mark your calendar and plan on attending this time-honored St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Sunday, March 12th.

God’s blessings to you and your family.
