    Requirements & Installation

Before installing Broadcaster on your computer, make sure you meet all these minimum requirements! Forexample, Broadcaster is not yet available for the Mac yes, we know, thats uncool, but were working on it.

    Minimum Requirements

    Hardware

PC with Intel Core2 Duo running @ 2.4 GHz (E6600) or later1024 MB RAMMicrosoft DirectX-compatible sound card50 MB available hard-disk space

You will obviously also need a digital camcorder, webcam, or other audio/video capture device that works withstandard programs, such as Windows Movie Maker or Adobe Premier. For professional use, RayV recommendsthe ViewCast Osprey 230 video capture card.

Software Microsoft Windows XP or 2003, Professional or Home Edition, with Service Pack 2

    FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder

QuickTime Alternative Decoder (download at www.apple.com/quicktime/download)Java Runtime Environment (JRE), Version 1.5 (download at www.java.com/getjava) Adobe Flash Player, Version 9 (download at www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer)

    Connectivity

Broadband service (no dial-up) with at least 2 Mbps upload bandwidth A public IP address accessible from any Internet connection

If you're connecting through a network using a private IP address, the firewall/router must:

    Provide static NAT

Allow TCP traffic to port 25793

Statically map UDP ports 22556 and 22557 on Broadcaster to ports on the firewall public IP address

    Installation

Download Broadcaster free from www.RayV.com. This will place an .exe file on your PC desktop by default. Tobegin installation, just double click this file. For security purposes, some versions of Windows will ask if you reallywish to do this. Well, yeah, of course you do (Broadcaster is that great), so just say yes to all of Windows peskyquestions. This will install the program and place a shortcut icon on your desktop.

Should you wish to remove Broadcaster later (though we cant imagine why), go through the usual Windowssoftware uninstall steps. Simply deleting the shortcut icon will not uninstall Broadcaster.

    Getting Started

To launch Broadcaster, double click either the Broadcaster shortcut on your desktop or the Broadcaster icon in yourWindows menu. The first time you do this, Broadcaster will launch a setup wizard like youve seen with hundredsof other programs. It will ask for standard registration info, which is mandatory. Since Broadcaster works throughRayVs servers, you must register to use it.

Dont worry we wont ask for anything too personal, nor will we share or sell your name or email address toanyone else. We hate spam even more than most people! (If you want to be bored by our Privacy Statement, please see www.RayV.com.)

Now here are some brief notes on the info we request:

User Name: This is your personal login name, not the name of your channel. (Youll set that later.) No one but youand our server will ever see it. And our server doesnt talk much.

Password: Your password can be anything you want, but we recommend something difficult combining lettersand numbers. In case someone else gets a hold of your computer, the last thing you want is for them to broadcastsomething unsavory on your channel like those photos from the company holiday party...

Be sure to write your User Name and Password someplace safe. (Tattoos, anyone?) Since the application lives on

your PC, well be unable to help you retrieve them.

Retype Password: You cant see your password as you type it (a safeguard implemented in case you work aroundspies), so enter your password again to ensure that you typed it correctly the first time. Note: Copying and pastingyour first password defeats the purpose. Just retype it and make up the lost seconds of your life elsewhere.

Email: RayV will use this email address to contact you about important updates and system issues. As mentioned,we hate spam (the inedible kind; the canned stuff is tasty on toast), so we wont email you except when absolutelynecessary.

Retype Email: Like retyping your password, this will only take seconds far less than it took to read thisunnecessarily long sentence.

Once you do all that, hitting Enter on your keyboard will take you to the next screen. If you prefer, you can alsoclick the button that says Next. We like providing options.

Already a RayV Broadcaster: Once you become a RayV Broadcaster, click this button to sign in do not gothrough the registration process again. That would get you inextricably caught in a time warp, kind of like beingstuck in an airport during a blizzard but without the snacks.

Next up: Channel Setup & Management...

    Channel Set Up & Management

Time to create your own video channel for the world to see makes your pulse kind of race, doesnt it? This part isas easy as filling out a bunch of blank spaces, because it consists mostly of... filling out a bunch of blank spaces.Note that none of this is permanent: Broadcaster lets you change your mind and your channels direction as oftenas you want just pop back to this page and change away.

Channel ID: Pick a unique clever name for your Channel ID. Unlike local TV stations, youre not stuck using ameaningless series of call letters. (And yet, so many cable stations do. Go figure.) We recommend picking a namethats intriguing and memorable, but keep it clean dirt on the Web is so 2006 and, frankly, boring.

Genre: Heres where you go against everything you stand for and put a label on your creativity. Yes, you need topick a genre, but theres a good reason for this: it helps your future fans find you. And fans are good to have. Yourchoices currently include:

Action, Comedy, Comedy/Drama ,Documentary,Drama, Educational, Interview,Game, Lifestyle, Music, News, Open Genre, Political, Reality, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, SportsTalk

    8/21

    RayV BroadcasterTM Users Guide 7

Yes, we know lots of channels fall into two or more genres, such as Sports Talk. We recommend picking thegenre that comes closest to describing your subject matter, and that will attract the most fans (in our example,Sports would be the better choice). Still cant decide? Then feel free to cop out with Open Genre.

Rating: Pick a rating for your entire channel here, not for individual shows. We use the official designations of theTV Parental Guidelines Monitoring Board. Even though your viewers might not be children, they might have thementality of children (think college fraternity or U.S. Congress).

General Audience: Most parents would find this program suitable for all ages. Although this rating does not signifya program designed specifically for children, most parents may let younger children watch this program unattended. It contains little or no violence, no strong language and little or no sexual dialogue or situations.

Parental Guidance Suggested: This program contains media that parents may find unsuitable for youngerchildren. Many parents may want to watch it with their younger children. The theme itself may call for parentalguidance and/or the program contains one or more of the following: moderate violence (V), some sexual situations

(S), infrequent coarse language (L), or some suggestive dialogue (D).

Parents Strongly Cautioned: This program contains some media that many parents would find unsuitable forchildren under 14 years of age. Parents are strongly urged to exercise greater care in monitoring this program andare cautioned against letting children under the age of 14 watch unattended. This program contains one or more ofthe following: intense violence (V), intense sexual situations (S), strong coarse language (L), or intensely sugges-tive dialogue (D).

Mature Audience Only: This program is specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore may beunsuitable for children under 17. This program contains one or more of the following: graphic violence (V), explicitsexual activity (S), or crude indecent language (L).

[Reproduced with permission of TV Parental Guidelines Council, Inc.]

Description: Since we forced you to pick a narrow genre, heres where you get to open up and describe what yourchannel is really all about. Pick your words carefully, because this is what the whole world will see. (Hint: write itfirst in a word processing program, spell check it, then copy and paste it here. Typos sukc.)

Language: Use the drop down menu to specify the primary language used on your channel. If your channel isabout mimes, then pick the language that theyre thinking. Wed hate for them to be misinterpreted.

Country: Use the drop down menu to specify a country. This could be where youre currently living, the subjectof your channel, or the one that would be most interested in your channel. If your country is not listed here, pick acountry thats similar culturally, or consider moving.

Bandwidth/Quality: Not everyones got high-speed broadband (unless youre just targeting South Korea). So letviewers know what to expect before you clog their pipes. Select from the following options:

Best: Were talking heavyweight bruiser graphics (resolution 640X480) looks awesome, but slow to getgoing. Requires a minimum of 800kbs upstream. Better: Heres the cruiserweight class (resolution 320X240) big enough to impress, light enough tomove quickly. Requires a minimum of 500kbs upstream. Good: And this is the bantamweight (resolution 320X240) too small to deliver a knockout but lightningfast. Requires a minimum of 300kbs upstream.

And thats it for setting up your channel could it have been any easier?

Whats Next? Clicking Next takes you to a welcome message and a notice that youll be receiving an email with aspecial key code. Dont delete this email! The code is essential for activating your channel.

    Control Room

After you log on, youll land in Broadcasters Control Room. Consider this command central for your channel, where you get to play network executive. (Assistants to fetch your coffee sold separately.) The first time you comehere it looks pretty empty because you havent yet uploaded any sources well get to that in a second. First, aquick tour of the Control Room.

The Control Room contains three panels:

Standby Palette: Youll load your sources here and have them ready to go for your broadcast. Preview Panel: This is the display area where you can check out your loaded sources and see otherControl Room functions in action. Channel Panel: Aside from being fun to say, the Channel Panel lets you monitor and control yourbroadcasts at all times. It doesnt disappear even when you go to different sections of Broadcaster.

Now take a deep breath, because were going to dive into each of these panels. Ready? Inhale and jump...

Control Room: Standby PaletteThe Standby Palette consists of six holding cells for broadcast media. (If prison language makes you nervous, you can call them input areas, but holding cells sounds so much edgier.) Each cell represents one ready-for-broadcast source, including Playlists, live camera feeds, prerecorded video, and online streams.

Input Title: The name you assigned to this source.

Preview Button: Click this button to view the source in the Preview Panel. The button turns yellow to remindyou which source is being previewed. (This reminder is for users with really short memories... Now where werewe? Oh yeah...) Click it again to remove the source from the Preview Panel. As the name indicates, its just a

preview and is not being broadcast.

Live Button: Click this button to send this source live, which you can view in the Channel Panel. BE CAREFUL.If your Broadcaster is in ON AIR mode, whatever you click live gets broadcast to the world. If youre in OFF LINEmode, then dont worry, only you can see it. The Live Button turns red as a reminder of what youre watching. Clickit again to remove the source from live status.

Thumbnail: This image represents the source and, fortunately, its actually larger than a thumbnail.

Status Indicator: This indicator glows in three different colors:

Gray: No source is loaded.Amber: Theres a problem reaching the source, such as when a camera feeds get disconnected. If youmake a source with an amber light go live, the world would see dead air. Which is, honestly, kind of dull.

Green: Your source is ready to go.Clear Button: Vacate that cell for a new inmate er, source.

Load Button: Click this button to load a new source into the cell. (Note: If the cell already contains a source, itgets booted out and replaced by the new source.) Heres how it works:

Filter: If you have a lot of sources, dont scroll to find the exact one you want. Just start typing its nameinto the Filter field and youll quickly narrow down the list. Click the X to clear the field and make the entirelist of sources reappear. Filter Buttons (Camera, Playlist, Remote Streaming Source, Video File): Remove the X from thebox next to the source type by clicking it, and all the sources of that type will disappear from the list.

(Dont worry theyre still in Broadcaster, just not visible here.) Click the box again to make those sourcesreappear. Source List: Here are all the sources youve uploaded to Broadcaster. Highlight one and clickPreview to check it out in the Preview Panel, or click Load to add it to your Standby Palette. Once youload it, the source disappears from the list and appears in a cell. Preview Player: Youll find the usual controls: rewind, play, fast forward, pause, and mute. Slidingthe arrow in the blue scrub bar beneath the video takes you to any point in the video. These controls willchange to reflect the type of source (e.g., you cant fast forward a live webcam feed... unless youve got

mastery over time and space). Indicators: Youll find two standard indicators about your source: time, and the strength of its audiosignal. If these audio-signal indicators show that youre peaking (too much source volume) youll havedistortion if you broadcast it. You need to correct the source before using it in Broadcaster. Cancel: Clicking this returns the Preview Panel to its usual blank status.

    Control Room: Preview Panel

The Preview Panel is the easiest part of the Control Room to understand: if youve ever watched a video online, youll get it. (If you havent watched a video online, where have you been hiding out?)

To play a source in the Preview Panel, just click its Preview button in the Standby Palette. How obvious is that? To

remove it, just click the Preview button again.

Display: The Preview Panel displays the source title and type, along with a video player featuring the usualcontrols, as previously described above. Youll also find two standard indicators about your source: time, and thestrength of its audio signal.

Playlist: If youre previewing a Playlist, its contents appear here. A yellow highlight bar and arrow indicate whichelement of the Playlist is currently playing. To have this Playlist replay indefinitely, click the Repeat button, sinceyou cant just hit the play button again. While a Playlist is playing, hitting the forward button takes you to thebeginning of the next element; hitting the rewind button takes you to the beginning of the previouselement, notthe one youre currently watching. Well detail Playlists in the Playlist section of this guide (are we masters of theobvious, or what?).

    Control Room: Channel Panel

Yes, the name Channel Panel rhymes and sounds like the title of talk show featuring TV critics. But here is whereserious show business takes place: your channel.

Visible at all times no matter which part of Broadcaster youre in, the Channel Panel enables you to monitor and

control your broadcast even if youre busy uploading sources or configuring other settings. The elements of theChannel Panel are:

Channel ID: Your channels name appears above the video screen.

ON AIR / OFF LINE Buttons: Use these buttons to turn your broadcast on and off. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOUCLICK. When your channel is ON AIR, your live source media is seen by viewers. When OFF LINE, your channelgoes blank.

Clock: Your local time at a glance.

Live Return: Thats what we call this screen, which displays exactly what your viewers are seeing (or would see ifyou were ON AIR).

Peak Indicators: These lights show you the strength of your sources audio signal. Too low and nobody can hearit; too loud and youll have distortion. If youre ON AIR, its too late to fix the audio for this broadcast, but be sure toadjust it before the next run.

Mute button: This enables you to kill the volume so you can listen to something else, like a source beingpreviewed, or your limo driver asking where you want to go. This does not affect the volume of your broadcast.

Time Counters: Source: This counter provides timing info for the current source (indicated by a red highlight). If thesource has a definite length (Playlists and video files), the counter counts down. If the source has no settime (live cameras and streaming video feeds), the counter counts up. For example, if the current sourceis a live camera, the counter starts counting up from :01 the instant it goes live. Playlist: If the live source is a Playlist, the counter counts down the length of the entire Playlist. Eachelement is counted in the Source counter.

Live Playlist Display: This area shows you the items in the active Playlist. An icon identifies the type of source, followed by the sources name and its length. The Playlist item being broadcast is highlighted in red.

Repeat Button: Click this button to repeat your Playlist indefinitely. (Warning: watching the same thing over andover again has been known to induce fatal boredom in viewers.)

Next: All about those exciting sources weve been talking about...

    Sources

Before you can use the Control Room, you need to upload source media for broadcasting. (No one said you had toread this Users Guide in order.) Sources is where you create and organize your media library, which can currentlyinclude live cameras, video files, or remote streaming sources. (Playlists have their own section of Broadcaster, which well explain in a few pages.) Once added to your library, source media can be added to a Playlist, or loaded

straight to the Control Room for immediate broadcast.

The Sources section features three panels: Sources Panel: Heres the list of media already configured in your library. Preview Panel: This is the display area where you can view your sources. Channel Panel: Visible at all times, this panel enables you to monitor and control your broadcasts. Wevedescribed it in detail in the Control Room section of this guide, so we wont repeat it here, because wehate repeating ourselves. (We also hate repeating ourselves.)

    Sources Panel

Use this panel to connect or upload your source media, then organize the list of all of your sources. Broadcastercurrently allows three types of media, each represented by an icon. (This is for users who can only read cartoons. Ifyoure reading this, that most likely doesnt include you.)

Camera: Camcorders, webcams and other video-capture devices. Video File: Prerecorded digital video files. Remote Streaming Source: Streaming video from another website. All your available sources are listed at the bottom of this panel. Of course, since this is your first time usingBroadcaster, its looking rather barren. So lets get right into adding media into your sources library.

Add Sources: At the top of the panel are three buttons (Add, Edit, Delete) that help you manage your sources.Click the first one to start building your library. Youll notice that the Preview Panel has changed to display youroptions. Now select the type of media you wish to add and click Next. If youre choosing a Camera source, makesure your camera is plugged in, turned on and properly connected to your computer.

Camera: The audio and video sources displayed in the menus are provided by your computer to Broadcaster. Ifyou dont see the sources you expect, curse your computer, then consult your cameras documentation to ensurethat your computers operating system can recognize it. Were going to be optimistic and assume that the machinesare talking to each other. (We techies never give up hope, except when it comes to dating, but thats a differentstory.) Now lets go through the features on this screen:

  • 7/30/2019 Rayv Brdcstr Uguide Vol3

    16/21

    RayV BroadcasterTM Users Guide 5

. Audio: Select your cameras audio feed.. Video: Select your cameras video feed.3. Preview Button: Click this button to check out what the cameras seeing.4. Peak Indicators: If these audio-signal indicators show that youre peaking (too much source volume),

youll have distortion if you broadcast it. You need to correct the source before using it in Broadcaster.5. Mute Button: Obviously, this silences the audio source.

Click Nextwhen youre ready. This takes you to a new screen where youll give your camera a unique name. Ifyou later add another camera, the names will help you choose among them in the Control Room. No one but youwill ever see this name, so call it whatever you want, even something affectionate, then click Finish. The camerawill be added to your Sources Panel, ready to be loaded into your Control Room.

Video: Broadcaster works with any size video files in the following formats: MOV, AVI, WMV, FLV, MP4, MPG (1 &2). Since there are many variants of each video format, you might encounter problems, so load your files ahead oftime and Preview them before trying to run them live.

(Note: Do not upload or broadcast any media for which you do not own all the copyrights or have permission, whether its a feature film or footage of a concert. Music rights in particular must be assiduously observed, sincethose music lawyers are pretty scary.)

Adding a prerecorded video file to Broadcaster is as easy as attaching a document to an email:

. Select File: You could type the path to your video on your computer here, or better yet, spare yourself thehassle (and typos) and do the next step...

. Browse Button: Click this button and locate the video on your computer. The path appears automaticallyin the File field. If you accidentally select the wrong item, just hit Browse again. We recommend storing allyour videos in the same folder of your computer for easy access.

    3. Preview: Click to see if its the right video. It starts playing in the screen to the right, which features all theusual controls: play, pause, rewind, forward, mute.

    4. Peak Indicators: If these audio-signal indicators show that youre peaking (too much source volume),youll have distortion if you broadcast it. You need to correct the source before using it in Broadcaster.

If it all checks out, click Next. This takes you to a new screen where youll give your video a descriptive name thatwill help you find it later, such as air guitar 10 seconds. (For the same reason, do not simply number your videos,Video 1, Video 2, etc.) No one but you will ever see this name, so call it whatever you want, then click Finish. The

video will be added to your Sources Panel, ready for action.

Remote Streaming Source: Adding a streaming video from another website is easy.

. URL: Enter the Web address for the video here.. Preview Button: Click this button to check it out on the screen to the right.3. Peak Indicators: If these audio-signal indicators show that youre peaking (too much source volume),

youll have distortion if you broadcast it. You need to correct the source (if you can) before using it inBroadcaster.

    4. Mute Button: Obviously, this silences it.

Click Next when youre ready. This takes you to a new screen where youll name your remote source. No onebut you will ever see this name, so call it whatever you want, then click Finish. The source will be added to yourSources Panel, ready for action.

Got all that? Good were movin on...

    Managing Your Sources

Now that youve got a library (your parents would be so proud), use your Sources Panel to manage it. If you haveonly a few sources, you can readily select one just by scrolling down and clicking it. Double clicking it causes it toplay in the Preview Panel. But what if youre a serious Broadcaster and have dozens or even hundreds of files?

Filter: This works like a search-engine for your library. Finding a specific source takes just a couple of steps...

    1. By default, the Filter lists all media types. To narrow this down, just click the box next to the media typeyou do NOT want to look for.

    2. Start typing the name of the source youre seeking into the Filter field. As you type, the list will be pareddown until only the one you want remains.

Example: lets say youre looking for a video of your all-time greatest air-guitar solo. First, click the boxes next toCamera and Remote Streaming Source to eliminate these media types from consideration. Then type the word airinto your Filter field. This reduces your list of sources to:

Air-Guitar Footage Airhead Ex Talks Smack Air Supply's Greatest Hits Video Montage (don't worry, we won't tell anyone about this... for a price)Now, you can readily find your video and either preview, edit or delete it.

Preview: To preview a source, just double click its name in the list. It will immediately begin playing in the PreviewPanel. To preview another source, just highlight its name and double click it. The elements of the Preview Panelare:

. Source Name . Video Screen 3. Preview Controls: rewind, play, pause, fast forward, mute (Note: You cannot fast-forward or rewind live

    camera or remote streaming sources.)

    4. Peak Indicators 5. Video Scrub Bar: Move the arrow to view any point of a prerecorded video. 6. Duration

Edit: You can also do some very basic editing of your prerecorded video sources. (Unless you can warp space andtime, youre not going to be able to edit live video feeds.)

    1. Highlight the video you want to edit. Note that you cant edit any video thats been loaded into the ControlRoom. To edit it, remove it from the Control Room first, then come back to Sources and select it again.

    2. Click Edit the top of the panel. Youll notice that the video player has added two little brackets on eitherside of the scrub bar (the blue bar beneath the video).

    3. To set a new starting point for the video, move the arrow on the scrub bar to any desired point. A smalltime counter pops up to tell you where you are. Click the left bracket. The bar to the left of this point turns

gray, indicating the portion that is no longer part of the video. You may reset the starting point by movingthe arrow and clicking the bracket again.

    4. To set a new ending point, move the arrow to any desired point. (Obviously, you cant have your endingbefore your beginning. See space and time warping note above.) Click the right bracket. The bar to theright of this point turns gray. You may reset the starting point by moving the arrow and clicking the bracketagain.

    5. Click Next. This turns the Preview Panel into a naming screen.6. Type any name you want for this video into the field and click Finish. (If you dont rename it, the edited

version will overwrite the original.) This adds the edited video to your library list in the Sources Panel.7. If you click Previous instead of Finish, youll go back one step and eliminate any edits you made.

Delete: To delete a source from your library, simply highlight it and hit Delete atop the panel. You cant delete anysource thats in the Control Room, so remove it from there first. Since deleting is eternally irrevocable, and sincetheres no limit to the number of sources you can have in your library (the size of your computers hard drive is theonly limit), the question we ask is, why delete? Who knows when that odd source could come in handy...

PlaylistTo manage your channel broadcast, you could sit in front of your computer 24/7, lining up sources in your ControlRoom, and setting them live one at a time. But just because we dont have a life doesnt mean you shouldnt haveone either. Thats why we created Playlists: so you could program a series of shows (i.e. sources) to automaticallyplay one right after the other hence the word programming.

Add a Playlist: Playlists can be created at any time, even while youre broadcasting. Simply click Add in theleft panel. This creates two new panels to the right: Sources and Playlist. (Youll notice that the Channel Panel ispresent in this section, too, so you can monitor and control your broadcasts at all times.)

Sources Panel: This looks and operates very much like the Sources Panel in the Sources section. (And ifwe have to say source one more time in this guide, well go insane.)1. Simply double click a source (aaargh!) and it appears in the Playlist panel. Note that you can add the

same source multiple times to the same Playlist.2. If youd like to see the source first, click Preview in this second panel, and it will play in a video screen

at the bottom of the Playlist panel. At this point, you probably already know how the Broadcastervideo player works, so were not gonna bother explaining its intuitive controls again.

    3. If you have a lot of sources, use the Filter, which works like a search engine. First, click the boxesnext to the media types you dont want, and the list will be pared down. Then start typing the name ofthe source into the Filter field. Only those sources containing that name remain.

    4. If you need more sources not listed here, return to the Sources section and add, add, add.5. If you use a Remote Streaming Source in a Playlist, you can modify that sources running time by

clicking on the empty duration counter and typing in a running time. This will only affect the Remote

Source in the Playlist, not in the Sources section.

Playlist Panel: As the Playlist grows here, you can rearrange or delete the sources one by one.

    1. You can move sources around on this list by simply clicking and dragging them.

    2. To delete a source, just highlight it and click Delete at the bottom of the panel.3. To see your entire Playlist in action, click Preview in this third panel. It will play at the bottom of the

panel. Click the repeat box to have the entire list replay automatically forever and ever until you tell itto stop or lose your mind, whichever comes first.

    4. If you like what you see, pick a unique name for your Playlist, type it into the field, and click Save. This will add it to your list of Playlists in the far left panel. Youll also see that Broadcaster has added aduration time for that Playlist. Its now ready to be loaded into your Control Room.

    5. If you dont like what you see, just hit Cancel at the bottom of the panel. CAREFUL: this wipes outeverything you just did for that Playlist.

If youd like to create a new Playlist based on an existing Playlist, highlight the original in the first panel and clickAdd. You wont be able to add new sources to it, but you can rearrange the existing sources or duplicate them. Then simply give this modified Playlist a new name and hit Save.

Edit a Playlist: To edit a Playlist, highlight its name in the list in the first panel, and click Edit. (If you have a lotof Playlists, just type its name into the Filter to find it.) This launches the Sources Panel and the Playlist Paneldescribed above, with all the details of your selected Playlist. You can now modify your Playlist just as you didwhen you first added it. The only difference is that you cannot add new sources to it; you can only duplicate, moveor delete the sources it already contains. Click Save, and this edited version replaces the original in the first panel.

Delete a Playlist: To mercilessly kill off a Playlist, simply highlight it and hit that lethal Delete button. Note that youcannot delete a Playlist thats loaded into the Control Room. You must clear it from there first, then come back hereto delete it.

And thats the full-on Playlist scoop. Now on to something a little more personal...
