2.2 Solved problems in Update 3

This update rectifies the following problems in the Engineering System and optimizes configuration scenarios:

Pack&Go on Windows operating systems

A Pack&Go file that you create on a 64-bit system may not be fully functional on a 32-bit system.

A Pack&Go file that you create on a 32-bit system may not be fully functional on a 64-bit system.

Transfer in SIMATIC ManagerIf you are using SIMATIC Manager to transfer a project to an HMI device you cannot edit certain transfer settings.

PLC connection of symbolic tags cannot be clearly definedIf several connections to the PLC are active, you cannot determine which of the configured connections is used by the tag during runtime.

Selecting the hardware component in the tag dialogThe tag dialog displays hardware components that do not contain tags that can be used for HMI devices.

Compiling projects with formatted textCompilation of a project with formatted text and tags with invalid reference fails with a non-specific error message.

OP 77A: Error message with system function "SetBit"If you assign the "SetBit" system function to the <ESC> key on the OP 77A HMI device, the following error message may be output during compilation of the project: "object xxxx is marked to be activated but does not exist“.

Tab order of the object groupsThe tab order differs, depending on whether or not the graphic objects are grouped..

Tab order in screens and faceplatesIncorrect processing of the tab order in screens with faceplates.

Converting projectsConversion of a project that contains invalid tag interconnections will fail.

System function "ActivateClearingScreen" on MP 377 15'' Touch daylight readableSystem function "ActivateClearingScreen" is not available on the MP 377 15“ Touch daylight readable HMI device.

Windows 7: Graphic objects in the templateAfter you configure graphic objects in the template and then change the user interface language, the configured objects are no longer visible.

This behavior occurs only in Windows 7.

2.3 Solved problems in Update 2

This update corrects the following problems:

Missing Properties windowSections of the Properties window are not displayed for devices of the /Sinumerik option.

Errors in rewiringTag names contained in the message texts are incorrectly linked during rewiring.

Incorrect display in the screen navigationIf you select a navigation bar, the properties are not displayed in the Properties window.

Editing text lists is slowThe selection of a text entry list can take several seconds for large text lists.

Temporary folder is not deletedA STEP 7 project with a WinCC flexible component is archived in the root directory of a drive with the Simatic Manager. Result: The temporary directory "TMPSTUFF_HMIES_0001" is not deleted.

No column headings in export filesEmpty fields in the export file cause the column headers to be without column heading.

Double entries in audit trailIf you have configured a tag at a switch, duplicate entries appear in the audit trail.

Long synchronization timesIf a project containing ProAgent components and a large number of messages is opened, synchronization takes a long time. If you set the key "<add key ="DisableInitialProAgentMessageSync" value="true"/>" in the HmiES.exe.config file, the initial synchronization is skipped. To start synchronization again, select "Project> Rebuild All".

WinCC flexible projects integrated in SIMOTION SCOUT: Drag-and-Drop with multiple selection in the symbol tableSelect multiple tags in the symbol table and drag the tags to a screen using drag-and-drop. Multiple selection does not work reliably. Sometimes objects from an earlier multiple selection are inserted in the screen.

WinCC flexible projects integrated in SIMOTION SCOUT: Projects with write protection can be editedYou convert a project created with an earlier version of SIMOTION SCOUT to the current version. When you open it, you specify whether the converted project should be opened with or without write protection. The fix prevents the WinCC flexible components against editing when the read-only project is opened.

WinCC flexible projects integrated in SIMOTION SCOUT: Missing HMI nodesProjects created with an earlier version of SIMOTION SCOUT are converted to the latest version of SIMOTION SCOUT. If you convert the project directly after installing WinCC flexible and open it as read-only, sometimes no HMI nodes are displayed in the project tree.

WinCC flexible projects integrated in SIMOTION SCOUT: Search function with "Any HMI object" filterIf WinCC flexible integration is enabled in SIMOTION SCOUT, you can activate the "Any HMI object" filter for the search. The filter was also offered when the WinCC flexible integration had been disabled in SIMOTION SCOUT. Searching with this filter makes SIMOTION SCOUT no longer operable.

WinCC flexible projects integrated in SIMOTION SCOUT: Opening read-only projectsOpening converted projects with write protection and non-converted projects results in the following behavior: You can also insert read-only HMI projects in the project tree.

Missing message for undefined date values in the alarm viewIf there is an attempt to write an invalid date to the controller, sometimes no error message is displayed.

Indirect addressing of tagsTags that use address or DB multiplexing, show no values on the HMI device.

Values in the recipe displayIf you import and save recipe records from CPU to the recipe view, the previous values can be displayed after the saving.

Devices affected:

● Window CE HMI devices

● PC Runtime

Missing Arial font in RuntimeYou use the Arial font in a project. If you use the on-screen keyboard on an HMI device, the font may not be displayed the next time you start Runtime.

Devices affected:

● Window CE HMI devices

Users cannot log offYou use Audit in your project.

It can happen that the user can no longer log off if the archive cannot be accessed.
