WorldVentures continues to grow at a record pace. Today, 50 percent of our business happens outside the United States, truly emphasizing our global position. Not only are we conducting business in 28 markets, we have thousands of global employees.

I’ve had the chance to travel the world and experience our growth first-hand. During a recent launch meeting in Australia (involving more than 1,300 new Reps) I witnessed their interest, conviction and belief in WorldVentures. After I left Australia, I observed the same eagerness in South Africa, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Upon my return, I realized there’s one truth that rings true. People are excited about WorldVentures; they are motivated about future opportunities and want to take advantage of once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

As our company continues its international expansion, growth is, and will always be, a strong component of our business model. Our friends and coworkers aren’t just people around the corner, but across the water. Our goal is to give you as many chances as we can to connect with those individuals and bring them into the business.

Future business development begins with regionalization. This means the Asian product will differ from the European product as well as the African product as we delve into cultural and local differences. Additionally, global training centers will continue to open. For instance, we’re highlighting the grand opening of the Hong Kong training center soon. Such an increase in global training centers provides a venue for Reps to present their business to others.

New customer acquisitions, year after year, are also a testament to our global expansion. To put this into perspective, memberships increased 143.6 percent from 2011 to 2012, 41.3 percent from 2012 to 2013 and are expected to rise 58 percent from 2013 to 2014.

Moving forward, we’re also improving our websites to include native languages. We’ve seen this take place in the dot com sphere and in bits and pieces in the dot biz realm. In the near future, Reps will see this specification on the DreamTrips platform.

We want you to know that we’re here to support you and help everyone who’s part of our “One Big Team.” As excited as you are, when you show up to an event, other Reps are just as motivated. So my request to you is this: Put your hand out and get to know each other. The more you network, the more you’ll begin to develop organizations within your native country and other countries.

Relationships are an important component of success in this industry, and we want you to extend a warm greeting to your fellow brothers and sisters.

Favorite DreamTrip location: The panoramic mountain views of Lake Tahoe, Nevada, are something I won’t soon forget. The crisp, clear air does wonders to rejuvenate my spirit.

Next locale on his wish list: I plan to travel with my family to London, England. Nothing stands out like the metropolis of London. I can’t wait to share the sights and sounds of London with them, and introduce them to real sports enthusiasts.

Must-take travel accessory: Since getting my iPad, I never travel without it. I can’t be without my daily sports fix and my connection to ESPN—that would just be wrong.

If you do a basic Internet search for “servant leader,” I’m sure you’ll find various results ranging from how to become a servant leader to why they’re not

prevalent today.

By definition, a servant leader is one who puts the needs of others before his or her own; he or she is a servant above all else, exercising humility and selflessness.

Though the concept of servant leadership has been around for a while, Robert K. Greenleaf―founder of the modern servant leadership movement―put it this way: “Servant leadership is a philosophy and set of practices that enriches the lives of individuals, builds better organizations and ultimately creates a more just and caring world.”

Greenleaf believed that servant leader organizations could change the world. And I couldn’t agree more. That’s why at WorldVentures, we all strive to be servant leaders. It’s not about who has ‘manager’ in their title or who has the largest office. It’s about who has the heart to serve, and go above and beyond what’s required of them.

Leadership, in its simplest definition, is defined as influence. So whether you believe it or not, you are a leader. Leaders are known to blaze their own trail. And I think we’ve done a great job of that at WorldVentures. To mention just a couple of things: We were the first direct-selling company to establish a Trust Council, comprised of senior leadership and Representatives from the field; and the WorldVentures Foundation has done a fantastic job of serving children in need around the world, giving Representatives who participate the opportunity of a lifetime.

For us, it’s about providing an enriching environment not only for those in our corporate office but also for anyone associated with our company. We believe in our mission and want everyone to experience what WorldVentures has to offer.

We strive to develop a culture of servant leadership, because servant leaders spend time on the front lines with other employees. Servant leaders create an environment and a culture for each employee to thrive. They lead by example and put the needs of others first. They’re concerned about not only the needs of their team, but the needs of everyone connected to them in any way.

So I ask the question, what type of leader are you? Are you one who inspires others to be better, greater? Whatever your answer, I encourage you not to take a passive approach, but to do all you can to develop your leadership abilities. Attend seminars and training, read books, get a mentor, and most of all, gain hands-on experience.

It’s been said that servant leadership breeds a culture of trust. And that’s our goal at WorldVentures. Our role as business leaders is to serve. Not to serve our own interests, but those of others. And to do so with truth and transparency. As we do, I believe we’ll become better people and a better company for it.

I hope that you continue to join us on this journey. There are many great things ahead. If you have suggestions or comments for the Trust Council, contact us at [email protected].

What if your favorite team was about to play the most important game in the history of their organization?

Maybe they’re in the World Cup finals or playing in the Super Bowl—whatever that championship final would be for your favorite team.

Now, imagine you couldn’t watch the game because you had to work. That would be very frustrating, but in today’s world, at least you could record it on your DVR, so you could watch it when you got home later that night. So you do just that. You put your head down, do your job and do everything you can to avoid thinking about the game at all.

Imagine that as you finish your last 15 minutes at the office, your co-worker comes up to you and excitedly congratulates you on your team’s victory.

How would you feel? I’m sure a part of you would be elated, but the other part would be very disappointed that he or she has ruined the experience of watching the game for you.

You go home and watch the recording of the game. Although you’re way less excited to see it, because you know how the game turns out, you still want to see your favorite team’s glorious victory.

As the recording of the game starts, your team goes down by two scores within the first few minutes. Then, after a short time, your team’s superstar player suffers a game-ending injury. As if it couldn’t get any worse, by halftime, your team goes down by two more scores!

Here’s the point. If you knew your team was going to win the game, you would have a very different attitude about the disastrous start of the game than you would if you did not know the outcome. Knowing your team wins, you would relax and look forward to the inevitable record-breaking comeback your team was about to have.

What if you could DVR your life and found out that in 10 years you will be a wealthy and fulfilled IMD? Would you have a different attitude when you have a somewhat disastrous

day or two in your business? How would you act if a talented Rep quit for some reason? Chances are it would be no big deal if you knew where you were going to end up! While that is impossible, having the relaxed attitude when things go badly is not! In this example, the real players in the game would have to have done just that to come back and win the game after such a horrible start.

Most people never realize that it’s not what happens to you that matters, but rather it’s how you respond to what happens to you that makes the difference between a winner and a loser. Especially for someone who aspires to leadership!

Most people say, “I’ll believe it when I see it,” but they never become successful. I was taught, “believe it and then you will see it.” The key is to relax and have faith that if you do the work everything will work out and you will win the game you’re playing. While you can’t really DVR your life and know you’ll win big in life, believing it without knowing is the key to making your success become a reality!

As the son of a single mother in working-class Birmingham, Alabama, Carlos Rogers learned early that delayed gratification can open the door to opportunity. Though he

had dreams of acting fame from the time he saw Nick Cannon in “Love Is a Drug,” he kept his feet firmly planted, hit the books like a dutiful student, played basketball and worked weekends at a barbecue joint. Even after he obtained his Associate’s Degree in pre-business from Southern Union Junior College, he returned home to the same job to save money.

“One day I was working the drive-through and comedian Rickey Smiley rolled up,” he recalls. “We struck up a conversation, and he said I should consider acting and move to California. So, I gave that some thought and, in 2005, I made the big move to Los Angeles.”

At first feeling like a fish out of water, Carlos ultimately settled into the L.A. scene. He worked temp jobs for steady income as he landed bit parts in movies and on TV, including commercials for Sprint and Toyota. “I had three lines in the movie, ‘Beauty Shop,’ and I was a stand-in for Donald Faison on ‘Scrubs’ and for Hill Harper on ‘CSI: NY,’” he says.

Yet, with an annual income of only $28,000, feelings of financial inadequacy continued to dog Carlos. Then one day his friend, Robby, invited him to a WorldVentures travel party, and the proverbial script was flipped. “When I heard the word ‘party,’ I was all about it because I thought I’d meet some girls. As it turned out, there was no one there under 70,” he laughs.

All kidding aside, Carlos says he was immediately struck by the positive energy and stories of success that attendees shared. “I wanted to have that; I was working 12 to 14 hours a day. Working all those hours and making 28-grand was not going to cut it. I knew I had to do something. I had reached that point when I knew I needed to start my own business, and I saw that network marketing was a good way to go.”

aspect of this experience has been the opportunity for personal development.”

Reach One to Teach One“The better you can communicate, the better off you will be. I built my organization by going to the trainings and really plugging in … staying around the campfire.”

12

Page 13: Ready for Primetime (Voyager)

13

ACT I, SCENE IIt took 12 months as a WorldVentures Rep before his income actually covered his monthly bills. Today, he boasts earnings he previously only dreamed of. But he says his newfound success is no license to live life in excess. He remains rooted in the principles of frugality, though he allows himself occasional indulgences. It’s all about balance.

“Many people who make a lot of money spend it,” he quips. “Just because you can write the check doesn’t mean you can afford it. One of the things I learned is to live below your means. Don’t live on all of your income; don’t go into debt. I average much more a month than I pay myself. I also pay off credit cards in full by the end of the year.”

Beyond the monetary gains, the most rewarding aspect of this experience has been the opportunity for personal development. Carlos says his life has been changed immeasurably, not just by his achievements but also by the number of times he has figuratively bumped his head and recovered.

“Traveling and having the money to enjoy myself has been pretty cool,” he says. “More importantly, I am a better person―more goal-oriented, committed, persistent, thoughtful and able to communicate better. The better you can communicate, the better off you will be. I built my organization by going to the trainings and really plugging in … staying around the campfire.

“‘Reach One to Teach One’ is my philosophy, and I stress duplication of that process. I’ve also read many books that have helped me grow.”

The first such book was “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” which he read at age 23 as a newly minted Rep for WorldVentures. Books that followed included “45-second Presentation,” “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind,” “Who Moved My Cheese?” and “The Millionaire Next Door,” among others.

Lessons learned have proven useful during challenging times. Carlos shared that his lineage has declined significantly within the last few weeks, and though he is disappointed, he is undeterred. “It was difficult having people on my team violating policies, getting terminated and badmouthing the company. So now I have to shore up and find more people. I just have to keep it moving and show more people by tapping my cold market and engaging people I meet going about my everyday life.”

Carlos uses a strategy called FORM, which involves asking a series of questions as a precursor to inviting prospects to hear the WorldVentures

presentation. “F stands for from: Where are you from? O is for occupation: What do you do for a living? What do you like best about what you do? What do you like least about what you do? R is for recreation: What do you do for fun? If they like to travel, I don’t jump down their throat with, ‘I’m part of a vacation company called WorldVentures, let me show it to you right now.’ Finally, M is for message or money: Are you open to earning income outside of what you’re currently doing?”

If objections arise, such as “I have no money, I have no time” or “Isn’t that a pyramid?,” Carlos doesn’t argue with them. Why? Because whatever the objection, it’s precisely the reason they should be involved with WorldVentures.

And regarding the pyramid question, he says, “A pyramid is an exchange of money with no product or service. We have a product and a service that we market. From there, we use word-of-mouth to market. That’s unlike a company like Nike that spends 90 cents of every dollar on advertisement. WorldVentures spends virtually zero dollars on advertisement. That’s how we’re able to make the money that we make.”

That makes sense. Right? These are the kinds of strategies he has learned from his upline, including the likes of IMD Gail Spears, whom he says “took it to another

level” when she joined WorldVentures. He adds, “I admire her for her work ethic, her wisdom and her understanding of this business―and business as a whole.”

CURTAIN CALLAs he ponders the question of what it means to be living rich, Carlos concurs with his fellow Reps that there are obvious material advantages, though they fall far short of the work-life balance it affords.

“Living rich means being successful, not having to worry about anything and being financially free. But mainly it’s about being happy,” he explains. “When a person becomes a true master in the art of living (whether rich or not in the literal sense), you aren’t able to tell whether they’re upset, worried, working or playing, because they’re just enjoying life. They’re in a state of mind, where even if they’re going through a struggle, they’re happy to be where they are and enjoying the process.”

At 31, Carlos embraces what many people far older than him still struggle to understand.

4. Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson and Kenneth Blanchard

5. The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley, Ph.D.

As Ruth Davis Konigsberg, a journalist and consultant to Arden Asset Management, says, “Financial independence is certainly easier to achieve with a good income. But you can also get there, or at least come close to it, by saving and investing no matter what your salary is.”

That’s a key principle in one of Carlos’s recent reads, “The Millionaire Next Door.” “At the most fundamental level, independence requires that you always live well within your means. If you are not living within your means, then you are not saving, and if you are not saving, then you are not creating wealth, you are creating the opposite: need.”

Konigsberg goes on to say: “There is no saving without delaying gratification, saying no when you want to say yes—not just now and then but more often than not. Saying no, not just to the big trips or a car, but also to the expensive haircuts and the overpriced appetizers. It means being chronically cheap and enjoying it. Because every no is a yes to getting things that you really want and need.”

Carlos agrees with Konisberg that building wealth entails being a good steward of your resources, “understanding that you have to teach yourself the things you don’t know, whether that’s fixed-rate versus adjustable mortgages or the value of compound interest, and yes, delaying gratification.” After all, the most fulfilling wealth is the kind you build for yourself, dollar by dollar.

Carlos concludes, “I value wealth, but I value my freedom above anything else, and WorldVentures affirms my values like no other company I know.”

I am a better person-more goal-oriented, committed, persistent, thoughtful

and able to communicate better."

13

Page 14: Ready for Primetime (Voyager)

Reidar Furuholmen knows a little bit about building a

business from scratch, having been persistent from the get-go

with WorldVentures.

For Reidar, the joy in working for WorldVentures comes not just

in making life better for himself, his wife Sandra and their family.

It comes in helping others see opportunities, and lifestyle changes,

that they don’t see themselves. He truly believes everyone can be made

successful if given the right opportunity, which is why to Reidar, the Core Value that

means the most is No. 7: “Champion Full Potential.”

“That’s where I get a lot of my motivation and excitement from,” Reidar says. “This is because I love to help others, and see others reaching their goals in life. And really, I just love to watch winners, if it’s in a sport, or a singing contest, in business, in WorldVentures in general or on my own team. It doesn’t matter as long as I can feel like part of the success.

with Reidar FuruholmenBY MICHAEL J. LEWIS

14

Page 15: Ready for Primetime (Voyager)

“I work hard to be a winner myself,” Reidar concludes, “and I know I have to help others reach their success for me to be successful.”

Reidar uses as an example of this philosophy his experience with a woman on his team named Katrin Gunnarsson, who at the beginning of her WorldVentures career suffered a disaster, as an arena for horse-riding she had built on her farm was destroyed by a storm.

Reidar thought he could help, so he visited Katrin and told her that by building her WV business, she would be able to recover her losses from the devastation of the storm.

“She was all in, and she really responded to my plans to help her,” Reidar says. “After a couple of weeks of booking meetings and doing presentations, she was a Senior Rep, and now she’s close to becoming a Director.

“This story motivates me a lot,” Reidar adds, “because it proves that if there’s a will, WorldVentures is the way!”

Reidar has been in network marketing since 1981, but his association with WorldVentures goes back to 2007, when he found out about the company and began asking WorldVentures’ corporate offices if he could open business in Europe under the WV brand.

He says he was politely told at that time that WorldVentures was not looking to expand beyond the United States, but three years later, he was given the go-ahead.

“I was even more excited then than I was in the beginning,” Reidar says. “After reading up and studying about WorldVentures, and knowing myself like I do, I knew I could be a success.”

Reidar, who has risen up to become a National Marketing Director, says that he has created a system that works for him. He sets as a goal to do two presentations every day, whether it’s a one-on-one situation or in a bigger meeting.

After signing up new team members, he has a plan that includes contact with new Reps every three days “to prove that people will join and that everything works as I explained when I spoke to them in their first presentation,” Reidar says. “It’s very important to me that as soon as possible, they get their first payment to prove to them that the business works, and will be financially successful for them.”

Reidar believes in doing presentations with PowerPoints and talking people through the program to gauge their interest. That way, he figures, he can zero in on the right points for that individual, and to have the prospects feeling that they have had their questions answered.

Reidar and his wife Sandra are a team, with Sandra handling the financial and organizational details like booking meeting rooms, while he handles the presentations and trainings.

“I have had some success in the industry before, so I knew that with this fantastic program I’d be able to do well,” Reidar says. “Not because of me being great, but because the products and program are great!”

Reidar says he continues to learn from the trainings and DreamTrips he has gone on (“even though I thought I knew everything when I started!” he jokes) and said that his “hunger” for more success keeps him coming back for more and more training.

“When I first started in network marketing, I did a lot of things wrong,” he admits. “I talked too much, I said too much about not being sure I could do this, and being a little too negative. A person who was my first

advisor told me, ‘Either you quit, or you take my advice how to do it,’ and he was right.

“He also told me that you have to grow with your business; you can’t be the same person and suddenly have success, and that’s the most important advice I’ve ever gotten. Personal growth is part of building a bigger business.”

Whenever he struggles with motivation, Reidar says he looks around and thinks about other careers he could have.

“I’ve made new friends all over the world and experienced so many great things, but sometimes you do say to yourself, ‘Are you sure that you will travel around, saying the same things year after year, and hearing the same arguments from outside people against your business?’” he says. “But when this thought comes, I look around and see what other people are doing in their ‘normal’ lives and jobs, and after that, I’m fully motivated again, and know that this is the better way.”

Reidar’s next goal is to become an IMD, but more importantly, he’s making sure that he passes on his WorldVentures success to the next generation.

“I don’t hope, I know that WV will lead to my financial security for years to come,” Reidar says. “I hope that my children will experience freedom, and have a lot of success like I have had.

“That would be my ultimate reward.”

Core Value #7: Champion Full Potential Commit to continuous growth and learning. Solicit feedback from others and look for

constructive lessons in personal experiences. Always be evolving. Empower others and help them see their greatness. Seek out opportunities to build up others through sincere

appreciation and acknowledgement of their actions and gifts. Appreciate and learn from others’ unique differences. We are creating a culture free of politics or sabotage of

others’ goals (i.e., jealousy or resentment of upline, downline or sideline). Edify everyone involved in WorldVentures, regardless of their goals or success in business.

At 5 feet 8 inches tall, Dave, who was raised in inner-city New York and Los Angeles, wasn’t considered a shoo-in for pro basketball. “But I practiced longer than anyone else in high school,” he says, “and earned a basketball scholarship at California Lutheran University―I was the first in my family to graduate from college.” Unbeknownst to Dave, scouts from an Australian pro basketball team were in the crowd at some of his college games. One day, he received a call from an agent, which led to a five-year pro contract and a move Down Under. The ability to redefine challenges as opportunities would be a recurring theme in Dave’s life, and he was about to meet someone who shared that world view.

During a visit home to Burbank, California, Dave’s sister suggested he meet her boss at the City of Burbank. Yvette, who hailed from Queens, was raised in Bolivia and later moved to the West Coast. “Within two months, we fell madly in love,” Yvette says, “so Dave figured out a way to get out of his contract.” They were married in 1999, settled in Los Angeles, and Yvette remained at the City of Burbank, where she’d invested 10 years, working her way up the corporate ladder. Dave, meanwhile, joined the Los Angeles Police Department.

“For the first four years I was in law enforcement, I loved it,” Dave says. “But, as a police officer on the streets of Los Angeles, I saw the worst things that people would do to each other, and it began to affect me.”

Both from Latino families (Dave’s father is from Ecuador; Yvette was raised in Bolivia), Dave and Yvette had been taught by their parents “to get a good job with benefits,” Yvette says. “But we were living the American nightmare. We worked constantly—I was averaging 60 hours a week, we were $70,000 in debt, and we never saw each other.”

The couple could no longer ignore their collective stress levels. It was time to take this challenge by the horns and make a change in their lives.

“The word ‘problem’ doesn’t exist,” Yvette says. “Challenges come into our lives to give us opportunities to grow and discover blessings. If you focus only on the problems, you’ll get no answers.”

By 2005, they were searching for solutions. “We were looking for something, but we didn’t know what we were looking for,” Dave says. Enter destiny: A friend, who was a WorldVentures Representative, called Dave and told him about the company’s plans to launch in California and invited him to a pre-launch party in Dallas. Yvette had work commitments and couldn’t attend, so Dave went solo.

“He called me from Dallas and told me, ‘Babe, this is it. We’re going to sell everything we have―our home, our furniture and our cars―and start WorldVentures right there in L.A.’ The very first travel party in L.A. was at our house, and we were selling it, so we had no furniture―we had to rent chairs,” Yvette says, laughing as she recalls the scene. “We had no materials―no testimonials, no DreamTrips, but we had no doubts. As they say, ignorance on fire is better than knowledge on ice.”

There was no doubt that this couple could sell the dream―if not with printed marketing materials, then certainly with their enthusiasm. The Ulloas hit the Director level within six months, at which point Yvette retired from her job. Dave retired from the LAPD six months later.

When the couple made the leap to WorldVentures full time, their lives changed completely. “We wanted a career change. We were burnt out, overworked and underappreciated,” Dave says. “What we ultimately got was so much more.”

ACCEPTING THE CHALLENGE

The Ulloa’s first DreamTrip, which also happened to be WorldVentures’ first-ever DreamTrip, was a four-day, three-night cruise on Royal Caribbean, with stops in Coco Cay and the Bahamas. Before that first cruise, the extent of the couple’s travels was the occasional road trip or quick trip to Las Vegas. Since then, WorldVentures has taken them all over the world. Among their favorite trips was a three-day VolunTour for the first documented international makeover of an orphanage in Cuenca, Ecuador, in 2011.

The VolunTour was inspired in part by tragedy: Dave’s father, Galo, was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2010. Orphaned as a young child in Ecuador, Galo remained out of the orphanage, instead scraping together a meager life carrying tourists’ luggage and sleeping on a succession of boats. He would later start his own shoe-shine business and worked an average of two to three jobs at once throughout his life. “Not always because he had to,” Dave says, “but because he liked hard work. He taught me that the formula for success is ‘D plus B plus A equals S.’ In other words, desire plus belief plus action equals success. He told me, ‘I’ll always believe in you.’ He was my hero.” After Galo’s passing, the couple, joined by generous volunteers―including a team of 40 WorldVentures Representatives―funded and built La Esperanza (meaning Hope), an orphanage that Dave says carries on his father’s legacy. “We’d gone from financially broke to financially free,” Dave says. “We finally reached a place where we could pay it forward. WorldVentures gave me the time and the financial freedom to take the biggest challenge I ever faced and turn it into an opportunity to help children.” At one point, La Esperanza orphanage had as many as three homes, with 65 children, many of whom have since been adopted or returned to their families after being deemed safe. The couple helped La Esperanza become self-sustainable and maintains an ongoing commitment to the region.

Even as the Ulloas enjoy the obvious signs of success, this personable and genuine couple remains proud of their blue-collar roots. Indeed, those beginnings instilled the work ethic and values on which they built their WorldVentures business, on faith from the ground up.

“We’re known as the ‘Blue-Collar Millionaires,’” Yvette says. “It’s a beautiful title. We show people they can succeed regardless of their background. We’ve been able to create a whole new level of attraction to WorldVentures for those who didn’t think success was possible.

“Life is about turning your greatest challenge into your greatest gift,” she continues. “If you embrace those challenges, when the dust settles, you’ll break through to the next level and come out stronger.”

A HEALTHY OUTLOOK

Yvette’s outlook quite possibly saved her life. Three years ago, doctors discovered a malignant and aggressive tumor in her jaw. The prognosis was grim: Her doctor recommended removing half of the bottom of her jaw and an invasive reconstruction procedure that could have had a profound impact on her life. At that point, she was well into her WorldVentures journey. “We no longer had to make decisions based on time or money,” she says. So Dave encouraged her to take a breather from her business, do as much research as possible and meet as many doctors and experts as she could. “I was able to go find answers. I took off on a huge, soul-searching trip. I read more than 50 books, had blood tests taken

wellness, energy maintenance and longevity over quick fixes. The Ulloas make it a point to avoid “foods with bar codes, along with red meat, refined sugars and flours,” Yvette says. “We focus on fruits, vegetables, plenty of water and include plenty of alkalinity to help eliminate toxins.” The couple is proud to share that the 28 participants of their first health and fitness trip lost a collective 360 pounds over a 90-day period. Their second trip attracted 60 participants from throughout the world. “The best part of this life is that we no longer live in a world of stress where fight or flight was the only answer,” Dave says. “Our health is better than it’s ever been.”

“We want to create a health and fitness revolution within WorldVentures,” Yvette says, “and help others realize that you don’t have to sacrifice your health for wealth.” As a couple, Dave and Yvette have their sights set on reaching Triple International Marketing Director, and their team goal

is to develop 100 International Marketing Directors. “We have a lot of team members getting close to that level, and we’re going to help them get there,” she adds.

When it comes to health and wellness, the Ulloas aren’t just preaching fitness and better nutrition (they say diets don’t work―“They have the word ‘die’ in the word,” Yvette says emphatically). They’re also sharing their own tried-and-true tips for better relationships―of which they’ve learned the hard way. Before WorldVentures helped them achieve financial freedom and gave them the gift of time, “we were on the verge of separation and bankruptcy,” Yvette says. “We want people to have the kind of relationship we have―we show them how to have amazing and passionate marriages.” Among their pointers: “Trash the name ‘date night,’” Yvette advises. “People get caught up in their routines, and date nights become a rut.” Instead, the couple suggests an “adventure night.”

before and after I ate to learn the effects that food had on my health. I found a holistic doctor who performed some very expensive European treatments I never would have been able to afford if it weren’t for my WorldVentures business. Thanks to those treatments, the tumor stopped growing. I’ve never been healthier than I am today. If I was still in my government job, I would have died―I wouldn’t have had the time or the money to find the answers I needed to regain my health.”

The couple took the knowledge Yvette had acquired during those three years (“We earned a Ph.D. in results,” Yvette says) and jettisoned it into a series of health and fitness trips for WorldVentures, which they say remain among their favorite trips. “We wanted to inspire and empower others to take control of their health,” Yvette says. These four-day trips include light workouts, followed by seminars on healthy habits and lifestyle changes that promote general

We’re not talking skydiving here, though it’s certainly within the scope of adventure nights. Simple is great. The key, she says, is keeping your itinerary mum from your spouse. “The element of surprise and uncertainty is so romantic,” she says. “It’s all about treating your husband or wife at a level 20―make them feel important.” Although her personal favorite was a picnic from Dave, “we’ve had some pretty crazy ones,” including the time Dave, knowing his wife loved gelato, flew her to Rome for a day for some dessert.

“Living rich to me is being a success in all areas of life, not just financially but also spiritually, and in our health and relationships,” Dave says.

TEAM SPIRIT

As their WorldVentures team continues to grow and climb the ranks, the Ulloas encourage them to “stay hungry,” Dave says. “Although this isn’t about us, we’re hungry to see others get to this level. We know

where we came from, and by sharing our story, we want to inspire our team.”

Which of their team members has inspired them most? Dave tells the story of Kirk Budd, who just reached the status of Marketing Director, Regional Trainer and $100,000 earner. Over a period of four years, Budd came to training sessions, but despite his regular attendance, his paycheck wasn’t getting larger. “But success is attracted to the person you become,” Dave says. Perhaps that explains why one day, a fortunate meeting changed Kirk’s life. Kirk lives in New York, and through a series of synchronicities, he met Gina, a New York paramedic who introduced him to Mitch. Mitch introduced him to his young cousin, George Perez, a resident of New York City’s Washington Heights, a rough inner-city neighborhood where public housing is the norm, and where the drug trade has claimed the lives of more than a few young people. George caught the spark and ran with his new business, telling all of his friends and family in

the area. Before long, an unstoppable team was born, represented primarily by 18- to 25-year-olds. “This group came from nothing, and in less than a year, they’ve achieved incredible success,” Dave says. “They just want to do the right thing, and they’re setting an amazing example for other young people. Kirk is raising giants right there in Washington Heights.”

“Our favorite part of WorldVentures is being able to contribute beyond ourselves,” Yvette adds. “This isn’t just about us; it’s about helping our team members experience and taste all of these new adventures.”

Fresh off a 10-day trip to Italy, the couple is constantly traveling and reaping the benefits of a WorldVentures life. “We’ve gotten to know the WorldVentures leadership on a personal level through these trips,” Dave says. Among their favorite excursions was a two-week adventure and safari in Africa, where cheetahs and elephants were close enough to touch. “We’ve checked so many items off our bucket

list,” Dave says. “To go from blue collar to millionaire, and be able to do VolunTours and help others―that’s our biggest achievement,” he says. “I have three primary beliefs: in this company to change the world; in the viability of the direct sales industry and the positive difference it can make in people’s lives; and in ourselves, to achieve results and share this opportunity with as many people as possible.”

What would the Ulloas say to those just starting their WorldVentures journey? Study up (through the training offered by the company) and show up (to all of the events). “The lifestyle you read about and see with WorldVentures is possible,” Dave says. “Just stay plugged into the system, the travel parties, the fellowship. If you don’t stay plugged in, you forget why you started.”

“The sense of community in WorldVentures is really unmatched,” Yvette says. “It’s beautiful, tight-knit and inclusive. Everyone’s a rock star. We treat our team members like they’re the most important people, because they are.

“It doesn’t matter where you come from; what matters is where you’re going,” she says. “If you bless and release your past, you’ll open the doors to your future. Too many are stuck in their stories. If you avoid confronting the challenges in your life, you avoid the lessons those challenges bring―and those lessons are gifts. With WorldVentures, I learned to get myself out of the way and break through to a level I didn’t know was possible.”

Through their daily example, driven so much by those early days and later struggles, the couple hope to continue inspiring people from all walks of life to ask, “Why not me?” and take a leap of faith. Desire plus belief plus action equals success: His father’s words remain in Dave’s heart to this day.

“We’ve all heard the expression that many are called, but few are chosen,” Dave says. “Instead, I think the reality is that all of us are called, but few choose.”

TAYLOR AND LORENZO ROYBAL’S LOVE STORY

Page 27: Ready for Primetime (Voyager)

BY FELICIA FULLER

Walking in faith and waiting on divine timing are among the most challenging aspects of spiritual living. No one

knows this better than International Marketing Director Lorenzo Roybal. The 26-year-old faced early struggles in his personal and professional life, but he endured by holding fast to the belief that blessings delayed are not blessings denied. So in the absence of a father, Lorenzo looked to coaches for mentoring. When college didn’t work out, he set his sights on WorldVentures and found success. And when he felt the longing for a life partner, once again he rested on the promises of God.

“One of my favorite quotes is, ‘A woman’s heart should be so lost in God that a man has to seek Him to find her,’” he explains. That principle led Lorenzo to the biggest blessing in his life to date—his new bride, Taylor. “She was so lost in God, all I had to do was dive deep into my faith, and I found her,” he shares.

The couple met in October 2011 at a WorldVentures travel party in Greeley, Colorado, hosted by Lorenzo’s RAT Pack. They felt an immediate connection, went on their first date a few nights later, and so began a three-year courtship that culminated in a beach wedding in July. As Lorenzo reflects on their story, he says he knew from the moment they met that Taylor was the woman predestined for him.

“I had an intense gut feeling, which is usually how God talks to me, that she was the one,” he recalls. “I had never felt like that before. Much like our WorldVentures dreams of success, I don’t believe God puts those dreams in your heart if He doesn’t intend for us to achieve them. So with that, I figured I had this feeling for a reason. Later that night after our date, I told her that while it might be a little weird to say, I felt like I was going to spend the rest of my life with her. Fortunately for me, she had the same feelings. So we started to move in that direction.” Over the next two years, as if on divine cue, everything came into alignment to affirm that decision. Lorenzo’s organization grew exponentially, and his earnings multiplied from a few grand a month to six figures annually. His good fortune allowed him to shore up resources for the future, and to spend quality time with Taylor traveling the world.

“We took over 10 major vacations, one of which was a 10-day trip through Greece and Italy. It was unbelievable, to say the least,” he exclaims. “We spent a few days in Santorini, which arguably has the best sunsets on Earth. We stayed in Athens for a few days and toured the Acropolis, which holds the Parthenon, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We also jetted over to Rome to tour the Colosseum, all in the same week. It was incredible. And that is just a small percentage of the vacations we got to take, and the peak experiences we had together.” Those experiences solidified Lorenzo’s love for Taylor, and he decided to pop the question―in grand fashion. It was September 2013, a month before the next WorldVentures national event, A View from the Edge. Lorenzo called his good buddy and mentor, International Director of Training Marc Accetta, and asked if they could incorporate the proposal into a program skit. Marc suggested the “Cheers” parody would be perfect. The entire audience would be in on the secret. Lorenzo would portray the bartender, Woody, and an unsuspecting Taylor would play an attractive girl at the bar. Just as Woody makes his move on the girl, Lorenzo would break character, whip out the ring and drop to one knee. It was all set.

When the big day finally arrived in October (with 7,000 members of the WorldVentures family looking on), Lorenzo asked Taylor to be his love for life. One might wonder why he shared such an intimate moment in such a public way. But for Lorenzo there could be no other way.

“WorldVentures has become my family. I love our company, and all of the people in it,” he says. “Every great thing in my life the last six years has been because of WorldVentures and the platform and opportunity it has given us to build a life. I wouldn’t have even met Taylor if it wasn’t for this amazing company.”

UNPLANNED YET PERFECTIf there is one thing the Scriptures reveal, it’s that there are no coincidences. Everything happens according to God’s timing and divine purpose. Taylor and Lorenzo’s wedding was no exception. Originally set for September 2015, to allow for customary planning, the nuptials took place without notice during the five-day RMD trip in Jamaica.

“It was Thursday night of the trip, and we were having a pool party,” Lorenzo recalls. “Taylor got into a deep conversation with a few IMD wives, including Sheila Ross, Cindy Bolf, Kelly Accetta and Susan Schrag. She was getting drilled with the ‘when are you getting married’ question. After saying it was going to be a solid year and a half, and expressing how challenging it was to even come up with a list we both agreed on, the wives decided to throw out the option of, ‘Why don’t you just do it here?’”

Then the wheels started churning. What about a wedding gown? Check. Taylor happened to have brought a beautiful white dress. And the groom’s attire? Check. David Townsend and Travis Just had the perfect white pants and shirt for Lorenzo to wear. Who would perform the ceremony? Check. IMD Scott Ross, an ordained minister, was along on the trip and ready to assist. What about family? Check. With his success in WorldVentures, Lorenzo had the resources to fly six family members to Jamaica with only 18 hours’ notice.

No matter the hurdles, Lorenzo and Taylor believed God had ordained this day, and nothing would stand in the way. So when the resort’s event planner said no venues were available for the ceremony, they whispered a little prayer. Within minutes, a cancellation provided an opening at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, just before sunset, right after their family was scheduled to land in Jamaica. “It couldn’t have worked out any more perfectly,” Lorenzo says humbly.

When the sky opened up and rain poured down just as the ceremony was getting under way, faith stepped in again. “Just like the gut feeling I had to tell Taylor I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with her, my gut was telling me to wait, and the rain would clear up. I knew God wasn’t going to let us down. So we waited for about 15 minutes, and the rain stopped on a dime, giving us a short window for the ceremony.”

With the air crystal clear from the purging rain, Taylor walked down the aisle just as the sun broke through the clouds over the horizon.

“We could have planned a wedding for a whole year, and it wouldn’t have come anywhere near as perfect as this,” Lorenzo beams. “After it was all said and done, we decided that God had this day all planned. All we really had to do was make the decision, which is what our business is all about, making a decision to go all in.”

AND A FAMILY OF FOUR

Can you define a secret for success, not just for your professional life, but your family life, too? Tiffany and

Mark Chappell can. “We’re persistent and determined.” The reward is freedom and flexibility. And it’s a mindset for success that works for the entire Chappell family and countless other Reps.

“I knew we were going to win. I knew there was no other option,” says Tiffany, who in the past year left a nursing career to concentrate on WorldVentures. Mark had already devoted himself full time to building their business.

“It’s no different than any job, except you call all the shots. It’s blood, sweat and tears, daily effort, and overcoming lots of obstacles, but you’re building something of your own. And you have the one thing everyone wants: freedom.”

FREEDOM, FLEXIBILITY

If you ask the Chappells where WorldVentures freedom has led them, the first thing they do is chuckle, and then they begin the list. One summer, they took eight vacations, including a two-week trek through Colorado during which their sons Caleb (16) and Carter (11) climbed five mountains. Before that, there were too many trips to count—from Monte Carlo on the French coast to every corner of Mexico and the Caribbean to all over the United States.

WorldVentures affords them freedom beyond travel. “My father died of cancer this past year. I was able to be there for him without worrying about my job. My job went with me. I had the freedom to work from where I was, which was where he needed me.”

Tiffany’s push into full-time devotion to WorldVentures came from something remarkably simple—looking at old family photos.

“I looked at the pictures and realized someone else was raising my children, and WorldVentures was a way out,” she says. “I couldn’t remember their first tooth, first steps, first anything, nothing. I could only remember the clothes I bought and washed, which I saw in the pictures. It was awful.”

Their oldest son Caleb was less than enthusiastic when his parents began their WorldVentures journey: “I felt like I never saw them the first year. They said, ‘Things will be different, things will be different.’ Well, today things are way different!”

Today, he faces college and career decisions, and he understands when his parents say, “You have three choices: give in, give up or give it all you got.” While his dad has a bucket list of destinations that included Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, Caleb’s own short-term list includes going to college. Mark sums up their experience

by saying, “Never in a million years did we dream it could be this good. Or this simple. Effort equals income.”

The benefits for all four Chappell family members is to experience the world through travel, and experience entrepreneurship that affords the ultimate in freedom and flexibility.

BY MARY RINDLESBACH

One of the first things Kim Campbell shares with people is that 40 minutes can change a person’s life. When Kim

was 15 years old, her parents asked her if she wanted to leave her home in Vietnam and go to America. She had 40 minutes to decide if she would make the treacherous journey across the ocean to a new life. Reflecting on that moment, Kim recalls, “It was scary.” Now, when she presents WorldVentures to people and tells them her story, she reminds them that 40 minutes might change their lives, but she jokes that this time, no one is going to die―they are going to go on vacation!

Kim chose the unknown and escaped from Vietnam. It wasn’t easy, though, and she had a lot to overcome. When she arrived in the United States, she could neither read nor write English. She stayed with a pastor who helped put her through high school. Kim went into real estate, and she was a natural, racking up a series of quick successes. Through her job, she met Robb Campbell, and they combined forces for staggering business results. They also fell in love and married.

Together, they built an empire consisting of seven companies that earned them millions. They had houses, cars, prestige and the envy of their friends. There was nothing stopping them on their way to the top, but it wasn’t all

rainbows and sunshine. Robb was so stressed out about finances that he couldn’t sleep. They would go on vacation and Kim would spend the entire time on the phone, working. There was no escape from the life they had created for themselves and they were slowly drowning under the weight of it all.

At a life-coaching event, Robb and Kim met Jefferson Santos, who introduced them to WorldVentures. They were intrigued by the fact that he traveled the world and had fun―for work! Direct sales seemed a bit of a stretch for this couple and their ‘legitimate’ businesses. They decided to attend a Friday night presentation and ended up staying around for a full weekend of training. By Sunday night, Kim was convinced, but Robb still had no interest in direct sales. He kept an open mind, however, and the two signed up for what would ultimately change the entire course of their lives.

It only took a few months for Kim to start making money with WorldVentures. It turned out to be a steady side income for a couple of years, but Robb was frustrated that it wasn’t growing as quickly as he had expected. He focused on his other companies and tried not to think much about it, but at BootCamp two years ago, the light bulb went off. Robb was there supporting his team when he saw people

from all walks of life―truck drivers, nurses―on stage being recognized as new Regional Marketing Directors. If they were RMDs, why wasn’t he? Why wasn’t Kim up there? “That experience made me angry, and I made a switch in my thinking to go after it for real,” he says. “I treated it like a real business and went after it.” There was no stopping him, and he and Kim stepped up their game in a big way.

Six months after that pivotal moment, Robb and Kim hit Regional Marketing Director. They got rid of their other companies to focus on WorldVentures and its power to change lives. Real estate was a good way to help people grow and have more in life, but compared to the potential impact of WorldVentures, it was only a drop in the proverbial bucket. WorldVentures offered them a way to reach people all over the world, spreading the company’s message of fun, freedom and fulfillment.

They built their team by introducing DreamTrips first, or what Kim calls the “fun.” It’s about taking amazing vacations and living the WorldVentures lifestyle. Vacations also serve another purpose for the couple, and as Kim says, “I always knew vacations heal. The first prescription I give to people is I tell them they need a vacation ... now. They need to get away, unplug and go.” Robb agrees. “I was so

stressed out in real estate,” he says. “My blood pressure was going up, I was at risk for heart disease, but now my blood pressure is back down and my doctor asked what I’m doing. I told him I’m going on vacation, and he said, ‘I need to start prescribing vacations!’”

Once people are sold on the fun, Robb and Kim introduce them to the deeper levels of the business, or what they call inner peace and outer abundance. It combines the business and the spiritual, allowing people to have peace for themselves and the abundance to live their lives fully. “Most people who have inner peace are broke,” Robb explains, “and most people who have outer abundance are miserable. [Through WorldVentures], you have inner peace experiencing life and having outer abundance allows you to pay for it all.”

WorldVentures has changed Robb and Kim’s lives in many ways, but one is more significant than all of the rest. Before WorldVentures, they never planned to have children. Robb had two children from a previous marriage, and they were just too busy to even consider kids of their own. WorldVentures opened the door for them to experience all of the amazing things life has to offer, and with that, Robb and Kim decided to have a family. Their two DreamTrips babies, Cash and Coco, have added joy, fun and fulfillment to their lives in ways they

never could have imagined. Kim describes WorldVentures as the one company that has allowed them to truly have it all.

To date, Robb and Kim have been on 63 vacations with WorldVentures, and they don’t have to field any more of those annoying business calls or worry about Robb’s blood pressure. Why did this couple who owned six real estate offices, had 100 agents under them, and had six other successful businesses choose network marketing? The proof is in Robb and Kim―WorldVentures works.

SuccessDirector. It was important for Scott and his wife Sheila that their children see them follow through with that goal. They were resolute, but reaching IMD would be harder than they thought and take longer than they expected. When things got tough, Scott stayed motivated by keeping himself uncomfortable. When you dream bigger, you work harder. With that work ethic, Scott and Sheila achieved the rank of International Marketing Directors. They will tell you, when you finally hit that goal, nothing feels better, and it’s something no one can take away from you. “If you could feel that feeling, you’d do whatever it takes.”

By reaching IMD status, Scott and Sheila hope to motivate others to climb higher. They want others to stand beside them and view life from the top. When considering their leap of faith into WorldVentures, they often think about the what-ifs. Scott shudders to think, “What if we had said ‘no’?” If Scott and Sheila had said “no” to WorldVentures and if they had let stereotypes about network marketing hold them back, they would’ve missed one of their greatest achievements. If they had said “no,” they could not tell countless success stories. If they had said “no,” they wouldn’t have the financial freedom and the time to invest in meaningful relationships. They would not be able to give their children the opportunities they never had. If Scott and Sheila had said “no,” they’d still be living the quiet desperation, believing that because they had stuff they had obtained success.

Now that Scott and Sheila stand at the top of the IMD mountain, they take a deep breath and admire the view for a moment, but only a moment. For this couple, satisfaction means stagnation and squandering opportunity and talent. There is still more to learn, ways to grow and people to meet. Scott and Sheila are building something that will last, something they can pass on to their children, and something that will impact their culture. Working on leadership development and communication, they’re leading their team to pursue their passions. Through WorldVentures, Scott and Sheila are experiencing “whole person living.”

R eaching the end of his life having squandered his time, talent and relationships is a thought that haunts

Scott Ross. For Scott, life is about stewardship. Faith, family and his eternal future keep this International Marketing Director forever in search of the next mountaintop.

Earning a six-figure income selling software, Scott had already achieved what others call success. He was financially wealthy, but was trading in bigger priorities to earn his paycheck. Unhappy and dissatisfied, Scott didn’t know what to change. He identified what he didn’t want out of life, but now he had to figure out what he did want and how he could get it. Introduced to WorldVentures, Scott and his wife Sheila began to redefine the meaning of success.

The WorldVentures lifestyle illuminated for Scott what was missing from corporate America. Enduring what he calls “quiet desperation in exchange for dollars,” left Scott exhausted. Providing well for his family is one of Scott’s priorities, but there is more to leading a family than finances. Through WorldVentures, Scott can provide for his family without being reduced to a breadwinner.

Scott’s determination and the WorldVentures business allowed him to replace his corporate salary; and it’s provided well beyond a paycheck. Through lifestyle freedom, Scott has the time to educate and mentor his children at home. Scott also uses his time to pour into the lives of men in his community and help them lead their families well. He doesn’t measure his worth by way of a bank account, but by how many lives he can positively impact. Having a beautiful wife, a nice home, healthy kids and a great team are all God-given gifts. To be worthy of such a calling, Scott is on a quest to better himself. He’s a role model for his children and his community, working to help others who are striving for excellence in all things. For Scott and his family, it wasn’t an easy climb to the top, but it was a fulfilling one.

Before Scott made his first phone call, he determined to achieve International Marketing

What good is worldly success if it’s wasted on things that will pass away? For Scott, WorldVentures is an investment in people and relationships and serving God. He’s done the corporate thing and he did it well. But Scott knows God did not put him on this Earth to sell software. And with all of life’s blessings, Scott is giving his all to say “thank you” for what he could never earn. His pursuit of excellence is not about performance or praise or a paycheck; it’s about being faithful.

Scott and Sheila grew up in homes with little financial stability and a lack of opportunity. Now they’re living life on the mountaintop and making room for anyone else who wants to see the world from their vantage point. Every day is an opportunity to dream bigger, to love better and to serve others, all while making a living and a life for their own family.

Scott and Sheila Ross live each moment with the end in mind. When they do come to the end, they want to look back knowing they gave all they had. They want to pass down a legacy to their children and, in the process, impact as many people as possible. More than anything, Scott and Sheila want to step onto the eternal mountaintop and hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servants.” With the end in mind, Scott and Sheila are on a mission every day to do their best with their God-given abilities. Scott and Sheila Ross are “living their priorities” with no regrets.

Max Tay’s outlook has drastically changed since he became involved with WorldVentures in 2011. “Honestly, before joining WorldVentures, I was not keen on vacationing. I

loved computer games more. After joining WorldVentures, I was forced to go on vacations. Guess what? After three years, I admit that I like to go on vacations because I have experienced more with WorldVentures than in the past 34 years of my life. Thank you, WorldVentures!”

Based in Singapore, Max earned a degree in information technology and computers were his first love. Now a family man, Max has a lot to live for, and he enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Jenifer, and daughter, Andrea. The Tays’ quality time largely consists of unforgettable vacation experiences all thanks to WorldVentures. Recently, Max and Jenifer were able to celebrate their anniversary and Valentine’s Day on a trip to Osaka, Japan. The couple’s romantic holiday was spent exploring the bamboo forest, climbing up a snow-covered mountain, and they even had a fun snow fight!

In addition, Max’s life behind a computer screen has transformed into a life full of new destinations and fun experiences. When I spoke with Max, he was in the midst of travel—squeals of joy echoed in the background, and I could tell Max, his wife and daughter were having a blast at the Six Flags amusement park in Dallas, Texas. Dallas was only the first stop on their trip, which consisted of eight days in Dallas, five days in New York City, three days in Paris and three days in Frankfurt, Germany. Through WorldVentures, Max has been able to travel extensively and make lasting friendships along the way. He recently went on a wonderful DreamTrip to Bali, Indonesia. “The fun experience together with my close friends was amazing. Seriously, I don’t know any travel company that can beat WorldVentures on this. We have gathered the most fun people in the world and go on trips together!” Max looks forward to his next DreamTrip and knows it will be another peak life experience.

During another recent DreamTrip that Max went on with his wife and daughter, he had a revelation about what “living rich” meant to him. “Living rich means having fun, freedom and fulfillment. On our trip, we had lots of fun doing the things we love to do. This included spending quality time together, having freedom to choose what to do, and the fulfillment of not just being with your own family but being with your extended WorldVentures family—together enjoying fun and freedom.”

Max is always looking for ways to integrate more fun, freedom and fulfillment into everything he does. WorldVentures has provided Max and Jenifer quality time and so much more. WorldVentures emphasizes a willingness to come together as one family and one big team. Max and his family welcome others to join their extended WorldVentures family so everyone can experience fun, freedom and fulfillment together.

The Meteoric Rise of Margaret and Jim Roberts

Page 47: Ready for Primetime (Voyager)

BY MICHAEL J. LEWIS

Two years before Margaret Roberts made her commitment to WorldVentures, a friend and classmate from cosmetology

school introduced her to the company in a passing conversation. Her words would lay fallow, but would eventually reap an abundance of good fortune and opportunity.

“The time was not right, but the seed was planted,” Margaret says. She and her husband Jim live in Marietta, South Carolina, a town of about 3,000, nestled among the piney woods in the northwest part of the state near the North Carolina border.

At the time, there were several things going on in the Roberts family that were more pressing. The notion of learning more about WorldVentures didn’t even weigh heavily in the back of Margaret’s mind; it was “simply there.” Waiting.

“I believe God makes things happen when the time is right. The time was not right back then; there was too much going on,” she adds.

When the time finally did become right, her friend’s words resonated and Margaret sprang into action. “There was so incredibly much that suddenly made perfect sense when it was time to start this business.”

For starters, both she and her husband already owned their own businesses—hers is a hair salon; one of his is a graphic sign company—so the notion of “hard work” was not intimidating. They both understood the amount of perspiration, persistence and optimism that is required to be successful in starting, maintaining and growing a business.

Margaret had another wonderful epiphany that excited her at the outset. “I am not a sales person at all. Then I realized WorldVentures doesn’t need a sales person. It’s the perfect crossroads of two things people are passionate about: saving money and vacations!”

There was even more logic to what she was talking to people about. “What I’m offering is what everyone wants. More time with family, more time to travel and more financial freedom. At my hair salon there

are no sick days and no vacation time without paying the price of no income.”

She saw WorldVentures as her own avenue to create residual income, create a business and have fun in the process.

“I had some concrete goals going into this, which helped a lot. I knew I wanted to pay off my house and do the same thing for my neighbor, who’s a close friend,” she says.

“In the first 30 days, we were only home two evenings the entire month. And those two nights we were busy planning for what needed to be done and who needed to be contacted. We didn’t watch much TV, but that was OK,” Margaret says with a grin.

What happened that first month reads like something out of an entrepreneurial version of Cinderella.

“What I did was simple. I listened. I followed instructions. I did exactly what I was told,” she adds. “I simply advise newcomers to listen. Listen to your upline. Be coachable. I was told to go to training the first week, and that’s precisely what I did.”

So, what was the result? “I thought I could get my first four members, and maybe go on a vacation! But I reached those first four within a very short time frame.” When she realized that all she had to do was follow instructions, a proven path to success, and work diligently, Margaret knew success was within reach. In fact, she’d already reached her first benchmark.

What happened next was as much a whirlwind as getting started in WorldVentures in the first place.

“What clicked for me was that I didn’t have to be a sales person. I’m presenting this to people. And what I’m presenting is vacations! Who doesn’t love that subject!” Margaret says, looking back.

So, what’s happened in the past few months? Plenty, according to Margaret and Jim, who work their business as a team. They qualified for a car. They are presently headed for Marketing Director.

In the beginning, the Roberts approached people they knew well. Because of their reputations as citizens and successful business people of Marietta, people trusted them. That was not difficult, although Margaret’s own mother said, “It sounds too good to be true, but we’ll see how it goes.”

Today, the two most common questions they’re asked are: “What has been the absolute key to your success?” and “Where have you been on vacation so far?”

The answer to the first question is training, training, training. Trainings have had the biggest impact on building their business decisions. Undeniably that has been the linchpin to their immediate and continued success. The CDs they listen to, combined with invaluable assistance from their upline, have also been instrumental in their meteoric rise. And lastly, actually working with others, helping them build their business, has been paramount.

The answer to the second question is: Vegas baby! Las Vegas was on Jim’s “bucket list” and this first excursion included a side trip to the Grand Canyon and a roadside encounter with a herd of elk. In short, Jim learned this lesson: When you’re taking a picture of an elk in front of you, watch out for the elk behind you. But all ended well!

Reflecting back on the past five months, Margaret says, “It’s simply my job to present what WorldVentures offers—people saying

‘no’ doesn’t bother me, and not being a sales person doesn’t affect me.”

Margaret and her team members know this is a race where you can go as fast or slow as you want. But she and Jim prefer the speedier route because as she says, “The faster I work, the faster I reach my goals.”

“There was so incredibly much that suddenly made perfect sense when it was time to start this business.”

WorldVentures Marketing, LLC—USA & CanadaAnnual Income Disclosure Statement

WorldVentures has designed its compensation plan to reward Independent Sales Representatives for: (1) successfully making personal sales of WorldVentures’ retail products (DreamTrips, DreamTrips Life and Luxury DreamTrips memberships); and (2) successfully building sales organizations by recruiting, training and motivating other team members to do the same. Below is an income breakdown for fiscal year 2011 in the United States.

During the period October 2011 to September 2012, 19.82% of all Independent Representatives (“IRs”) earned a commission or override, while 80.18% did not. The average annual commission or override earnings of all IRs, including those who did not earn a commission or override, was $190.15. The average annual commission or override earnings or that group of IRs who earned a commission or override was $957.12, and the median was $40.00. The data presented in the table above is based only on those IRs who earned a commission or override within the time period of October 2011 to September 2012.Notes:1. All amounts are represented in U.S. dollars.2. These figures do not represent Representatives’ profits, nor do they consider expenses incurred by Representatives in the promotion of their business.3. Promotion levels represented in the table are based on ranks achieved at the end of the year.4. An Independent Representative is one whose Independent Representative agreement was accepted by WorldVentures within the 12-month period preceding

the last day of the fiscal year displayed.5. An active Representative is one:

a. whose Independent Representative Agreement is in good standing and who has made a sale of a WorldVentures product within the 12-month period preceding the last day of the fiscal year displayed; or

b. who has earned a commission or override with WorldVentures within the 12-month period preceding the last day of the fiscal year displayed.6. Figures are for the U.S. market after five full years of operation. Figures may not reflect incomes in newly or less-established WorldVentures markets.

There are no guarantees regarding income. The success or failure of each Independent Representative in WorldVentures, like any other business, depends on the Independent Representative’s own skill, dedication, personal effort and leadership qualities.
