Cavite, and the Golden
Jubilee of the
institution.

2 RecoLEAD Chronicles
A ugustinian Recollect youth leaders unite at the Recoletos Farm in Matagbak II, Alfonso Cavite to take part in OAR-AR Youth Leadership Summer Camp. Various sessions are conducted with the purpose of
enriching Christian leadership values and nurturing relationships with Jesus Christ. Nowadays, most people often imply a deceptive basis of success – that is when you’re academically gifted. However, this is not the case anymore. To be able to think success, you must first think practical. And in this realistic world that you’re living, leadership aptitude and decisiveness are essential tools toward the peak of accomplishment. Someone who is exceptionally intelligent yet lacks a sense of responsibility will never attain his goals. It’s like living your life without a purpose. Crucial is the most definite word for that matter. Fortunately, Campus Ministry Organizations implement events that are correlating to leadership trainings. One great example is this year’s Youth Leadership Summer Camp. As mentioned previously, there are indeed seminars that had fabricated the youth’s perspective on being a good leader. To be a good leader, you should first make your members feel that they are essential to the group. Do not ask others to honor you. You should not give in to temptations. Keep in mind the two senses – sense of right and sense of wrong. Last but surely not the least; persuade others with an assurance of God’s loyalty. They had also provided activities of the same purpose. Evidently, the participants were overwhelmed in a positive way. They were spiritually enlightened. Overall, this summer camp has been a transformational change and an eye opener on how necessary it really is to enhance leadership values. In addition, the lessons are not only applicable in real life but in your spiritual life as well. It can also be considered a hiatus on the modern lifestyle of every youth of today.
A Personal Reflection

RecoLEAD Chronicles 3
W ith the goal of journeying together with the Risen Christ, OAR-AR Youth Leadership Summer Camp delegates participated in various religious related activities.
One of the highlights of the said event was the Amazing Grace Race facilitated by Mr. Reynaldo G. Geronimo, SSC-R Non Teaching Personnel held at Recoletos Farm, Alfonso Cavite. This game aims to enrich the community bonding and social interaction of the delegates representing different Augustinian Recollect institutions. Their physical and mental abilities were challenged as they accomplished each direction that led to religious symbols that were needed to be completed in order to win the game. Delegates were divided into four groups, namely, St. Augustine, St. Ezekiel Moreno, St. Nicholas of Tolentine and Our Lady of Consolation. Each of them has its own facilitators that served as their guide for instructions in order to search for the missing icons that will best represent the games’ theme, the search for the Risen Christ. Participants from the St. Augustine team were declared winners of the said challenge.
