Concept: Recruit and train 3-5 parents at each school to improve

individual school communications and promote activities at the district level

Work non-competitively with School Administration and recognized district/parent groups

Function: Serve as school liaisons to SLPS stakeholders Act as representatives to new families and promote a

welcoming environment at the school

Responsibilities: Identify, articulate, and convey problems through the

appropriate channels Empower stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met Provide community outreach Serve as interview panelist for school administrative hires Establish communication and accountability suitable to
