Divisional Commander:
Do you declare that your decision to serve in Christian ministry and leadership is one of your own free will; and is a covenant established between you and God, expressing your personal desire and intention to love
and serve God to the very best of your ability.
That the passion of your life is to live to win souls and make their salvation the a priority for your life; that you will uphold the doctrines and principles of The
Salvation Army and, by God’s grace, fulfil your term in serving as Divisional Envoys.
Response:
I resolve to live a life of faith, to uphold the principles of The Salvation Army, and commit my life to soul
saving service. “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me;
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for
me.” (Galatians 2:20)
Divisional Commander:
It is quite appropriate that this commissioning should take place tonight in the presence of fellow
Salvationists, (Officers, Soldier) Family and Friends who serve God faithfully within this Division. Many of
these people have supported and encouraged you along your journey, and tonight, they represent a
godly number who will intercede for you and continue to pray for you both as you go forward to serve in
leadership as Divisional Envoys.
Response:
“I take strength from the Grace of God which is mine in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 2:1)
I know the One in whom I trust, and I am sure that He is able to guard what has been entrusted to me until
the day of His return. (2 Timothy 1:12)
Divisional Commander:
I commission you Angela Czoban for leadership within the Division and confer on you the rank of Divisional
Envoy.
I commission you Roz Edwards for leadership within the Division and confer on you the rank of Divisional
Envoy.
Divisional Commander:
I charge you to be faithful as you both undertake ministry and give leadership within the ACT & South
NSW Division.
May God grant you His anointing and presence by the Holy Spirit.
Deepen your devotion and walk with God - allow Him to use you as His servant.
Divisional Commander:
Hold on to the pattern of wholesome teaching….a pattern shaped by the faith and love that you have in
Christ Jesus. Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth
that has been entrusted to you.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be
ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:13-14)
Divisional Commander:
Christ of Glory, Prince of Peace,
Let Thy life in mine increase;
Though I live may it be shown
'Tis Thy life and not my own.
Dwell within, that men may see
Christ, the living Christ, in me.
