Sejrø

Sunny Island in Kattegat On the island of Sejerø life moves at a slower pace, the sky is more visible - and you can feel complete calmness. You sail with the ferry from Havnsø. The crossing takes 59 minutes and you're suddenly very far away.

Røsnæs

Røsnæs is beautiful, tough, wild - and stunningly beautiful. A lovely nature experience. Here you will find tranquillity! The peninsula Røsnæs is located at Kalundborg and is Zealand’s westernmost point

Page 6: Region Kalundborg

Røsnæs is a nature experience entirely in a league of its own, and ' lay-by' for a wealth of migratory birds in spring and autumn months. Soft green hills, dramatic cliffs, ponds with newts and fire-bellied toads, and a fantastic view of Storebælt - the highest vantage point is 55 meters.

Røsnæs Fyr (Rosnæs lighthouse)The lighthouse was built 1844-46. The beam of light of 500 watts is located 25 meters above sea level and the cone of light can be seen over 40 km away in clear weather. There is no public access to the lighthouse.

Reersø was originally an island, separated from the mainland, and today it still occurs that the gap between Reersø and Zealand is flooded. The natural surroundings of Reersø are of course affected by this, and there are many wetlands for example including waders, geese, herons and an interesting flora, as well as protected coastal landscape and cliffs to the west.

These cats have so far survived on Reersø for more than 120 years. Maybe they came to Reersø from the Isle of Man after a shipwreck in Storebælt. There is a stock of 30-40 tailless cats on Reersø

Look out for the tailless cats on Reersø. There are two subgroups of tailless cats - those who have no tail - "Rumpies" - and those that have a little bit of the tail - "Stumpies". Since the cats are more arrogant than ordinary cats, they are amazing at jumping.

HavnsøHavnsø Harbour is a 'real harbour' providing exciting things to look at. Here are 250 local yachts in addition to the many visiting sailors who come every summer. So there is always a boat bound for its place in the stake rows - or out into the bay in the process of stretching its sails.

Manor houses

In Kalundborg and the surrounding area there are many large and small manor houses, estates and castles. Vildtbiotopen in West Zealand is good, and manor houses and estates are therefore attractive for hunting parties. For this reason, the Danish Royal family will sometimes visit these estates and castles with this intention during the hunting season.
