• Confucius was a philosopher and reformer who lived in China from 551 B.C. to 479 B.C.

• His sayings instructed Chinese to live with good morals/values and political responsibilities.

• His philosophy became a religion and many of its ideas (such as respect) are similar to other religions like Christianity and Islam.
