Welcome again to Remix 2011: Animotion!

Hey , were you able to watch Remix last year?

Yes! I did. It was really cool.

I agree. Thats why Im really excited to watch this yearscompetition because Animotion, this years theme, was actuallyconceptualized in line with DLSUs Centennial Celebration.

Thats right, ! While Remix 10 was focused on making a

change for our society, Remix 11 is all about allowing Lasallians toshowcase their talent in dance and to encourage them to utilize thattalent to promote the LaSallian spirit and values.

But for the first timers here, Im pretty sure they are all askingwhat Remix is. It is actually a joint project between the La SalleDance Company Contemporary and La Salle Dance Company Street.It is a university wide dance competition for the students of DLSUand College of St. Benilde.

How cool is that, right? Tonight, weve got 9 crews ready tobattle it out for victory. And Im pretty sure our audience is familiarwith the groups who are ready to bust out their moves here on thedance floor.

I can feel the tension and excitement in the air. Who here are

You know all this talk is making me really excited to watch the

first crew.

Right! Lets get this show started!

So our first crew is composed of DLSU and CSB students thatstarted last July 2010.

They have different styles with one absolute movement. Theydance with a purpose, they dance for God.

Our first group certainly knows the best moves to tantalize anaudience. Lets give it up for-

Our next crew has the dance skills and wit, a fresh breed of LaSallians altogether united to make up a crew. With being a mixture of

personalities, this team was unified by a passion of dancing for oneGod.

Continuing to grow under Orange Dance Studio, this crew wouldcertainly show fresh, unified and electrifying moves to rock the housedown.

I just keep on getting more and more impressed by thesedancers. I cant wait to see what happens next.

Weve only seen two dances but my mind has already beenblown away.

Well, Im just watching and Im already having a hard timepicking out my favorite crew.

Just imagine what a hard time our judges will experience.Speaking of which, I think now would be a good time to explain tothe audience exactly how our nine crews will be judged tonight.

Of course, like in any competition, Remix 11 finalists have acertain criteria to follow in order to become the winner.

Now that weve got that cleared away, I do believe its time tointroduce our next performer.

Thats right, . Vital Legaci is a crew that is committed to

each other and dedicated to inspire others through the art of dance.

They are made up of dedicated La Sallians of differentbackgrounds, ACDT, Airforce, Legit Status; you name it, sharing thesame passion.

Vital Legaci was formed in August 2010, and have grown with

each other, improving what they do best, as well as growingspiritually with their love for God.

The members of Vital Legaci love what they do and are dancing

Wasnt that a hot performance?

Our stage might as well be on fire!

This will certainly be tough on our judges.

Im pretty sure our audience wants to know who our special setof judges are- judges, will you please stand up and wave to ourexpectant audience when your name is called?

Our first judge is Mr. Gino Ong. Hes a recipient of last year'sCultural Development Award for his contribution in the arts to theFilipino and LaSallian community.

Hes also the artistic director of Im*pulse, the alumni dancecrew of LSDC-street and an Emeritus of the said group.

Hes also the Head Trainer/Choreographer of Christ CommissionFellowship's dance ministry.

Other than that hes also a resident Instructor of one of thecountry's top fitness hub - Plana Forma. Freestyler, Choreographer,Missionary, and Events planner, let us put our hands together for Mr.

Gino Ong!

Our second judge is Mr. JJ San Juan a former dance master andchoreographer for LSDC-Street

In 2010 he represented the Philippines in the World Hip HopDance Championship in Las Vegas as a member of Legit Status and

also competed in this years Dance Delight in Singapore.

Hes also known for teaching popping, locking and new school inGroove Central, and has worked with popular artists such as Sam

Concepcion and Young JV. Make some noise for Mr. JJ San Juan!

Next up is Mr. Andrew Ondo a principal dancer, choreographerand dance instructor for Jazz, Hiphop, Contemporary, Folk dance andAerobics

Hes also currently the dance coach at St. Paul College Centerfor Performing Arts and a dance instructor at Moro Lorenzo Gym inAteneo De Manila.

Hes known to have traveled and performed in various events allover the world a former company member of Douglas NierrasPowerdance. Give it up for Mr. Andrew Ondo!

Our fourth judge is Mr. Jay-Jay Torres hes a pioneering memberof the DancePinoy team, a well know website for dance enthusiasts.

Hes a choreographer for different corporate events and also a

dance instructor of jazz and hip-hop for kids and adults. Let us allwelcome, Mr. Jay-Jay Torres!

Last but not the least is Ms. Lema Diaz shes popularly known asa key member of the Philippine All Stars, the 2-time World Hip HopDance Champions.

Shes also an alumna of the La Salle Dance Company. Hertalents have brought her to different places in the world,

continuously representing the country through dance.

Shes been known to choreograph for well-known TVcommercials and productions, and still continues to teach streetdance.

You guys will be evaluated by the Remix judges and for everyround, one of them will declare who will be eliminated and whoeverremains until the end of the game wins the brand new Samsung

It sure is but our night is far from over. What we have here is

yet another game where our lucky winner can go home with a brandnew Samsung Galaxy phone!

Whats the catch is that our contestants will come from thecompeting crews. So crew representatives, come out on stage!

So the mechanics are the same but let me explain them again toour contestants. We will flash a dance style on this screen and youguys will have to dance your best for 30 seconds. We will have 4

rounds and for every round 2 will be eliminated until one remains.
