As a partner and practicing attorney in the law firm of Kyler, Kohler, Ostermiller and

Sorensen LLP, Mat Sorensen concentrates on business, tax and real estate. His

diverse legal background ranges from a former in-house attorney handling business,

tax and regulatory matters for large corporations, to a former Assistant Attorney Gen-

eral in the Utah Attorney General's Office, where he prosecuted felony criminal cases, including felony tax fraud.

Mat received his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of

Utah, where he was awarded the E. Rich Brewer Scholarship and graduated Phi

Kappa Phi. He then received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law and was

awarded a University Scholarship at entrance.

Mat is also a licensed Escrow and Title Officer and is one of the founding partners of Investor Quality Title,

LLC, a sister company of KKO Lawyers specializing in transactions for real estate investors. Mat's outside

professional activities include serving as a Board Member and Corporate Secretary for the Marriner Eccles

Memorial Foundation, as a Board Member of the Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce, and on the

Planned Giving Professional Advisory Council for Southern Utah

    University.

Mat Sorensen takes great pride in providing high quality ser-

vices and lending his culled knowledge to assist Renatus Com-

Many people hear about Matt and find it hard to believe this is possible at his age.

Some of us remember being 25 and barely getting started in life so how is it possible

    he has achieved this.

The truth about these rentals is that he has yet to use his money or credit on a sin-

gle deal. You see Matt focused on raising private capital.

Matt was able to turn his own education at RENAUTS into an opportunity to edu-

cate others on how they could utilize their retirement funds more effectively by joint

    venturing with him.

Some of us will spend our entire lives never getting a handle on self-directing our

retirements because we feel we dont have enough information to make sound deci-

sions. Matt took his Renatus experience and now SPLITS every rent check with a pri-

    vate funding partner.

It is important that people understand that when Matt started taking classes at the

age of 21 he didn't have any resources. That means he had to use his Education as

THE resource. Matt is an example of whats possible at Renatus.

Second has never been good enough

for leaders. There will only be one FIRST

Renatus National Conference. If I wereeveryone involved I would get there.

Its the biggest event of the year and this is

where we start to realize that we made the rightdecision. This is also the place that we get theinspiration and motivation to finally make ourdreams come true.

    Attendance at The National

Conference is a provingground for leadership and agame changer for community

members hungry to learn thesecrets of the trade.

If I could offer just one bit of

advice to the field, it would beto pay the price and make the sacrifice toattend.

This one event will have greater impact and

change more lives than any other event allyear. If I could I would make this event man-datory.

    Its that important.

The last event I attended was the single

most powerful and productive event of myentire year, resulting in nearly $26,000 in

    personal business!
