Top of surge arrester should endure

horizontal pulls 5.75kN、10s, and should

Test was carried out on the unit with base,

converting according to the height:

Arrester total height 5.86m, height of the

unit with base 2.16m, height scale factor:

5.86/2.16=2.72, then should apply

horizontal pull 5.75*2.72=15.64kN to the

unit with base; In fact, applied 17.0kN,

converting to 6.25kN on the top of arrester,

withstanding 10s, housing the terminals no

abnormal phenomenon
