Athletes Committee will be responsible for:

Furthering the interests of the athletes in Asia, to upgrade their performance

standards and to create competition opportunities for them;

Strengthening the relations between athletes and the Federation and to make

proposals for their betterment;

Attending the Chef-de-Mission meetings during the Competitions, on a daily basis

and report its findings to the Life President and Working Committee.

Finance Committee will be responsible for:

Preparing the financial planning and projections, budget estimates and statements

of accounts prepared by the Finance Manager for submission to the Executive

Board/General Assembly;

Checking on all major expenditures incurred by the Federation and all other financial

matters, as may be required;

The accounts and may recommend to all committee and especially Fund-Raising

committee so that the federation will always at the same state.

Approving audited statement of accounts.

Information and Statistics Committee will be responsible for:

The statistical information system of the Federation;

Preparing the Federation’s plan of action for the dissemination of Pencak Silat

information;

Informing Members of the Federation of activities and future plans, preparing

studies and carrying out research to assist the sports media in the Asian countries;

Undertaking publication of sports teaching materials;

Undertaking documentation and records of results, statistics and other relevant

data, which help establish, to begin with, a nucleus for an Asian Pencak Silat and

Sports Library; and the material collected will also be circulated to all Members;

Establishing a separate statistics cell, where all types of statistics for every game

relevant to all international competitions will be available.

Medical Committee will be responsible for:

Preparing the Federation’s Medical Guideline outlining all requirements of Sports

Medicine for each Asian Pencak Silat Championship as approved by the Federation;

Carrying out research and outlining physical research training programme for each

approved game;

Doing all other things which are necessary to improve the physical and medical

conditioning of Asian athletes keeping in view the diversity of countries and

communities involved;

Carrying out research on the type of injuries that normally affect each athlete, and

the remedies thereof;

Doing any other activity which would help raise the standard of sports;

Supervising medical control and sanitary services.

Rules Committee will be responsible for:

Carrying out the directions of the General Assembly and the Executive Board insofar

as the amendments of the Federation’s Constitution, rules and bye-laws are

concerned;

Taking steps to examine the rules and bye-laws from time to time, and to submit its

proposals for amendments through the Executive Board to the General Assembly;

Receiving and considering proposals on matters relating to the amendments of the

rules and thereafter submit its recommendations to the General Assembly through

the Executive Board.

Competition Committee will be responsible for:

Making sure that Asian Championship is organized annually.

Open the floor for any country to host the Championship

Education Committee will be responsible for:

Getting in contact with Life President on newly established countries that requires

Coaching, Referee Jury and Competition Secretariat Courses

Reporting to Life President on current countries interests to conduct Coaching,

Referee Jury and Competition Secretariat Courses

PENCAK SILAT OUT OF ASIA

In 2006 to 2008, under the flagship of Singapore Silat Federation and under a program

called “Silat Goes Global”, Mr Sheik Alau’ddin and his team travelled to countries to

promote Pencak Silat.

The countries visited are:

Mr Sheik Alau’ddin has taken the initiative to travel to two countries in the first half of 2016

to further establish Pencak Silat out of Asia. The two countries are: Azerbaijan and Canada.

Pencak Silat in Azerbaijan

Date of Visit: 31 January to 05 February 2016

Agenda:

1. Meeting with Chief Colonel General, Elchin I.Guliyev, from State Border Service

2. Meeting with Vice President of National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan, Dr

Chingiz Huseynzada – Vice President of The Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF)

3. Meeting with Assistant of Chairman for Executive Device of NOC Azerbaijan, Mr

4. Propose for Upcoming Euro Asia Pencak Silat Championship, 2016

Pencak Silat in Canada

Date of Visit: 07 to 13 April 2016

Venue: Toronto, Canada

1. Setting Up Pencak Silat Federation in Canada

2. Introduction of Pencak Silat to students in University of Toronto

3. Meeting with various supporting centres to start conducting sessions in Canada

APPOINTMENT OF ZONAL PRESIDENT

Each zones in the Asian region requires a chairman, who is appointed by Mr Sheik Alau’ddin

Yacoob Marican. All decision that were made, is agreed upon unanimous decision by all

attendees.

1. Central Asia – Aziz Djurabaev (Uzbekistan)

2. East Asia – Hyungki Cho (South Korea)

3. South Asia – Mohamad Iqbal (India)

4. South East Asia – (Singapore)

5. West Asia – Homayoun Khorram (Iran)

The duties of the Zonal Presidents are as follows:

The Zonal Presidents shall discharge duties and functions as assigned to them by the

Life President, the Executive Board or the General Assembly;

All the activities of the zone are under the supervision of the Zonal Presidents,

especially those which are organised by Asian Pencak Silat Federations and which are

recognised by the Federation;

They shall hold meetings with the National Pencak Silat Federations in their

respective zones at the time of the General Assemblies or during the zone’s Pencak

Silat Championships to strengthen relations;

ELECTION OF PRESIDENT

As we head to the end of the congress, Mr Sheik Alau’ddin open the floor for all attendees

to raise out any concerns.

As no matter were raised, all attendees have to answer the following question: “Do you

agree with Mr Sheik Alau’ddin Yacoob Marican as the Life President of Asian Pencak Silat

Federation?”

All in attendance gave yes as an answer, making it 100% in agreement of Mr Sheik’s status

as Life President of Asian Pencak Silat Federation.

CONCLUSION

Asian Pencak Silat Federation would like to extend our gratitude to Bapak Aidinal Alrashid,

President of European Pencak Silat Federation, for being present as a witness for the 1st

Asian Pencak Silat Federation Congress.

Asian Pencak Silat Federation would also like to thank the country representatives for

attending and putting their input into making Asian Pencak Silat Federation move toward

success.

Asian Pencak Silat Federation would like to thank all in presence for understanding the

common goal we are all striving for and will work hard with the every federations and

association to getting affiliation from their National Olympic Committee.

Last but not least, Asian Pencak Silat Federation would like to thank Singapore Sepaktakraw

Federation for allowing our congress to be conducted in the Meeting Room of Singapore

Sepaktakraw Federation.
