We have conducted various programs as per the directions. A report along
with photographs is submitted.
1. Voting Awareness Programme (Street Play) on 08/02/2019
Our students participated in voting awareness programme at various public
places to make the common man, adults aware and to introduce new youth
voters and told them about the importance of vote. It was also conveyed that how
one vote of voters is important for electing a good leader who has the ability to do
something for the society and for nation towards sustainable development.
Students carried out different types of street play and drama to attract the local
public to listen their positive voice to enhance the number of voter percentage in
the upcoming Election -2019 which is essential so as to elect a political party
which have the vision and best potential to develop the nation in each and every
field.

2. VOTING AWARENESS CAMP on 07/02/2019
A voting awareness camp was successfully executed by our students of
Laxminarayan Institute of Technology of Nagpur on 07/02/2019. The batch of
85 students was divided into 8 different groups and these 8 groups targeted 8
different areas of the city for the campaigning. The areas targetted were
Gokulpeth, Dharampeth, Shankar Nagar, Ayodhya Nagar, Diksha Bhoomi, Medical
Square, Futala, Ambazari and few more. The campaign was very well organized
by the students. Students made different posters charts and paintings for the
effective impact of the campaign. Students interacted with different people and
their families informed them about their voting rights and the importance of each
and every vote. Slogans like “one vote can rock the boat”, “Shape tomorrow by
voting today”, “If you don’t vote; you lose the right to complain” and many other
strengthened the campaign.
Many of the students visited various homes and building and told the importance
of their voting. Also some people while having their fixed opinion that they will

not vote but students have motivated them that they should vote for the
betterment of their country. Two of the group have performed a drama related to
voting awareness and also makes rallies through the streets of Dharameth and
Gokulpeth.
One of the groups voiced slogans on the signals and also interacted with the
people who are on the bikes or in the car. The people were also appreciated the
students that they were doing the great work regarding awareness among the
people about vote.
One group also met to the Dharampeth zone voting awareness officer and
performed some activities with them. Officer also appreciated the work done by
the students. The students also interacted with first time voters who just
registered for voting that they also have to vote and not take holiday on the day
of election.
The students ended the campaign with hope and zeal to vote and help India to
become a great country.

3. Slogan Writing Competition on 07/02/2019
A Slogan Writing Competition was held at Institute Level on Thursday 7th
February 2019 under the “LOKSHASHI PANDHARWADA” activity. The
participants were directed to prepare Slogans to create awareness for voting.
All the Slogans were displayed on the Institute website and Display board. All
the participants were awarded with the participation certificate of the event.

4. Poster Making Competition on 07/02/2019
As per your instructions as a part of ‘Lokshahi Pandherwada’, a poster making
competition was organized at Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT) for
B.Tech. Chemical Engineering and Technology students. The competition was
held at workshop from 3:30 to 5:30pm on Thursday dated 07/02/2019. While
conducting the competition, the help provided by the student representatives
is greatly acknowledged. The photographic images of the event are attached
here with for your kind perusal.

5. Group Discussion on 06/02/2019
Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, RTMNU, Nagpur organised a Group
Discussion for the students of B. Tech (Chemical Engineering & Chemical
Technology) on February 6, 2019 on eve of Lokshahi Pandharwada in Second
Year Classroom on the topic “Awareness of voter is a need of era,” to spread
voting awareness about the right to vote among the students. The students were
well prepared and explained their point of view very well. Even the first-time
voters were also a part of the drive where, they spread awareness about the right
to vote and also the importance of this right. As a voter, Youth can play a major
role in the elections because a large amount of our voters belong to the young
generation.

As many as 100 students participated in the Voter’s Awareness Discussion-
spreading the good word of voting.

6. DEBATE Competition on 07/02/2019
Debate competition was organized at institute on 07-02-2019 at 1: 30 p.m. Debate was conducted under Lokshahi Pandharwada activity. Topic: Should voting be made compulsory The following students who have participated.

7. Guest Lecture -(LokshahiPandharwada) on 07/02/2019
Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, RTMNU, Nagpur had organized a guest
lecture on “Power of Vote - A need of Era” on eve of Lokshahi Pandharwada for
the students of B.Tech (Chemical Engineering & Chemical Technology) in First
Year Classroom on 7th February, 2019 to spread voting awareness among the
students.
The speaker for the lecture was Shri Rutudwaj Deshpande, Mohandhariya
Awardee. In his lecture Shri Deshpande discussed the importance of voting and
used a range of imaginative activities to engage young voters in discussions about
democracy, registering to vote and their role as active citizens.
It was extremely informative: the positive responses to the talk are a reflection of
youth awareness and their voice.
