• IPC Inspire is IPC's men's division. Its portfolio of 38 brands covers a huge spectrum of interests and includes famous names from Country Life and The Field to Nuts and NME.

Why IPC might be an appropriate publisher for my new music magazine

• IPC magazine has been around for a long time and over the years they have catered from a wide range of magazines, including Horse and Hound, Woman and Home.

IPC have already published one music magazine so have experience into what is best for the magazine, features and characteristics that are needed so that it sells well.

Why might an alternative publisher like Bauer be appropriate?

• A publisher such as Bauer would be a little better than IPC as they already have a music magazine, NME, of the same Genre – Indie/Rock.

• But also Bauer consists of a music magazine that has the same genre as Indie/Rock which is Q magazine.

Dennis Publishing• I have chosen to pick Dennis Publishing because they currently do

not have a music magazine on the market. This means to me that if I can provide a music magazine into this empty space that Dennis Publishing have then I can get full potential from the publisher.

• Dennis Publishing currently have over 2.2 million magazines read each month and this is for magazines such as Men’s Fitness, Auto Express and The Week.

• over 10 million unique users online each month; this shows that it has a big audience that has had no influence on music. This is a main reason why I have chosen Dennis Publishing.
