What is RESEARCH?

means searching for a theory, for testing theory, or for solving a problem.

is finding answers by asking questions, by looking things up in books, by playing with and manipulative ideas and things, or simply by being mentally engaged in what is going on around us.

Experience, authority, inductive and deductive reasoning may also solve problems but their procedures are not considered scientific.
