BFM Spotlight Chris Bronestine, RN Coordinator for Bickford is our spotlight for the month of January. Chris grew up in Quincy and graduated from QHS in 1979. She graduated from Blessing-Reiman in 1994 with her BSN degree. She started her career working in critical care, then home health care and on to a nursing home. She later worked in the Hannibal E.R. at which time she gained her MSN degree from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Chris has two grown children; Ashley, 21, who is following in her mother's footsteps pursuing a nursing degree herself. Her son, Skyler is 19 years old and in the construction business. She just recently added to her family a six month old fox terrier mix named "Roe". Chris says she has always enjoyed being a nurse. It gives her a great feeling of satisfaction knowing she is able to help those in need. Thank you Chris for all you do at Bickford residents. Quincy Resident of the Month Our resident for the month of January is Professor Kokomo. He is a beautiful Siamese cat whose coat is tan in color with highlights of black and brown around his eyes and nose. He eats well-balanced meals with just a touch of flavor complements of the Bickford Chefs. He's treated so well here, he stays on. He is quiet and well-behaved. His favorite places to hang out are in the windows of his apartment so he can scout out what is going on in the field behind. Jay tells me that the Professor is officially spoiled and is loving every minute of it! Thank you Jay for sharing a little bit about the "secret life" of the beloved Professor Kokomo. BICKFORD HAPPYNINGS Birthdays & Celebrations Bickford Family Christmas Birthdays are always a special time for our residents and everyone loves to celebrate with them!
