The JobThe Instructor Award is an entry-level training coursedesigned to teach candidateshow to deliver introductory targetarchery sessions that are safeand fun for beginners. ArcheryGB tasked Coachwise withcreating a hard-copy resourcethat combined their technicalknow-how and our designexpertise, with the ultimate goalof accrediting the next generationof archery instructors inspired byThe London 2012 Olympic andParalympic Games.
The SolutionWith such a wealth of informationneeding to be appropriatelypackaged, the key to this projectwas breaking the near 80-pageresource down into bite-sizedchunks. By selecting a bold andbright colour scheme, allied tothe use of excellent instructionalphotography, Coachwise wasable to bring this vibrant andinteresting sport to life. Plenty ofinformation is packed into thisresource, but it’s pleasing on theeye and never a chore to read.

The ResultsArchery GB have someinnovative and exciting plans toincrease participation numbersfollowing the London Games,and they now have an InstructorAward Handbook that will play akey role in the development ofan evolving sport. This manualcontains an assortment of factfiles that summarise theessentials of what you need tounderstand as an instructor.They can be used as areference during the course, aswell as to help you in yourongoing development as aninstructor. The material printedon, coupled with the oversizedwiro binding, ensures thisresource really does pack a punch.
