CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Name Room)
FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
WE ARE CALLED TO THE DIFFICULT WORK OF DISCIPLESHIP, TO BE BOTH HEARERS AND DOERS OF THE
WORD In and through our baptism, we were given new life in Christ and became members of the Body of Christ– the Church. As such, each of us is called to holiness, and to use our unique gifts and talents to further the work and mission of the Church. We are also called to use these gifts to help build up God’s kingdom on earth, and lead lives which give glory to God.
"In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be." - Jn 14:2-3

SPECIAL DAY SET ASIDE FOR MOTHERS IN THIS COUNTRY
Mother’s Day is a special day out of the whole year just for saying “Thank You” to Mom. We should show our gratitude for all we have received.
Obeying, helping out with the housework, trimming the lawn, doing our particular chores are all ways of saying “Thank you,.” Some of us may have our mothers in heaven.
There they are waiting for us. There we will be together forever and ever. If our mother is in heaven, we can pray to her and ask her to help us live a holy life pleasing to God.
If our mother is living, let us pray that God will grant her many graces during her life and a beautiful place in heaven some day. Just think how happy your mother would be to receive a little card or note for her special day saying “Thank You, Mom for all you do...I Love YouB!

SPRINGING INTO SUMMER CLOTHING
As this warmer weather is inspiring many of us to do some ‘spring cleaning’, we’re preparing to bring out our cooler clothing at St. Gianna’s. The season is finding many families especially in need of toddler sizes 24 months, 2T, 3T, and 4T; as you’re sorting out closets and drawers, we’d greatly appreciate gently used items your little ones have outgrown for all seasons! Contact us at (716) 842-BABY (2229) for more info, or to arrange a donation time. Items can also be dropped of to Queen of Martyrs Respect Life coordinator (Kathy Sacilowski) by calling 893-7885. Thank You!
