Quality Test for Revital-Ox RESERT Solution Test Strip Frequency: Upon receipt of each shipment, test each lot in the shipment 1. Prepare test solutions. PASS Solution Dispense 30 ml of Revital-Ox RESERT solution from a newly opened bottle. Label the container. FAIL Solution Mix 15 ml of tap water and 15 ml of Revital-Ox RESERT solution from a newly opened bottle. Label the container. 2. Confirm that each solution’s temperature is 20˚C - 68˚F. 3. Remove three strips from the bottle. Test each strip per steps 4-6 above. Record the results. 4. Remove three additional strips from the bottle. Test each strip per steps 4-6 above. Record the results. 5. Interpretation: a. Passing Test i. All three indicator strips pass in PASS Solution ii. All three indicator strips fail in FAIL Solution b. Failing test – Do Not Use i. Wear appropriate PPE for working with Revital-Ox RESERT solution. 2. Confirm expiration date of Revital-Ox RESERT solution and test strips. Do not use Revital-Ox RESERT solution beyond expiration regardless of test strip result. Not all products available in all markets. 3. Check solution’s temperature. a. AER – Dispense a 30 ml specimen of solution from AER (per AER instructions). Confirm temperature is 20˚C/68˚F before proceeding. b. Manual soaking – Confirm temperature of solution in the basin is 20˚C/68˚F before proceeding. 4. Remove one test strip and dip (Either in 30ml specimen or soak basin) for two seconds. Remove from the solution and start a 60 second timer. 5. Remove excess solution from strip pad by touching the short edge to a paper towel. Do not blot test strip. 6. At 60 seconds, interpret strip color through the viewing window.
