Brief Summary Milton Reynolds first introduced Reynolds ballpoint pens to the United States in October 1945. The original design was by Biro. The pens were an immediate success and sold by the millions and Milton Reynolds made millions of dollars. Unfortunately they were a failure as a writing instrument. Poor quality of the ballpoint and bad design of the ink reservoir caused the pens to perform poorly. The pens leaked, skipped and dropped globs of ink on your paper. The company failed within a few years and set back the acceptance of the ballpoint pen for years.
