Quantity: 1 Bottle to bottle abrasion simulation Package shall be preconditioned for 72 hours at 40˚C, 80% RH (simulating 26 days of shelf life, based off of ASTM F1980) After completion of conditioning packages will be vibrated for a duration of 5 hours using ISTA 2A vibration profile at 1.15 Grms (simulating 300 miles of very rough road per hour of testing) o Testing will be paused every hour to evaluate the progression of label degradation if any Packaging Description Client: Each sample set consists of twelve 16 oz. glass juice bottles, filled with water and capped. Labels were applied to the exterior of the bottles (see photos pages 4 & 5). Sample set 1A was tested with a chipboard partition between the bottles. Sample set 1B was tested without a partition (see photos page 3). Both sets of 12 bottles include two bottles with each of the following labels: UPM Raflatac SY14X clear OPP UPM Raflatac SY931M Silver Metalized OPP UPM Raflatac SY393L Matte White OPP Labels were printed on an HP Indigo 6900 press, primed inline with Michelman DigiPrime 680. The printed labels were coated with: Kustom LP KKLP 200 Silicone Free Gloss UV coating Kustom LP KKLP 405 Silicone Free, Benzophenone Free Matte UV coating Both coatings were treated with Michelman DigiGuard 901 UV OPV Strengthener.

    Client:

    • Kustom LP KKLP 200 Silicone Free Gloss UV coating• Kustom LP KKLP 405 Silicone Free, Benzophenone Free Matte UV coating

  • 1. Following the test, the bottles were inspected for obvious signs of external damage. No major externaldamages were observed.

    2. Following testing, labels were inspected for scuffing. No scuffing or peeling seen.

    3. Test samples sent back to client for any further post-inspection.
