Roadway Data Improvement Program (RDIP)• Process: Technical Assistance Team of subject

matter experts: – Reviews relevant materials prior to State visit– Meets with key administrators, managers, technicians

and local agency representatives– Assesses State practices and procedures for roadway &

traffic data– Develops recommendations for improvements

Roadway Data Extraction Technical Assistance Program (RDETAP)• Objective:– Deliver technical assistance to state and local agencies

on methods of extracting roadway data from existing resources (video logs, Google Earth, Bing Maps)

• Status:– Pilots in 2 States
