Baptisms: Scheduled & Celebrated by appointment. Parents should call the rectory at least four weeks in advance, and must attend instructions. Church Law requires that only Catholics in good standing are eligible to be Godparents. No Baptisms will be scheduled during Lent.
Anointing of the Sick: We offer this sacrament to those who are seriously ill, at home or in the hospital. We urge you to contact the office before someone goes to the hospital for an operation. (A priest may not be available later) Ministry of the Sick: Holy Communion will be brought to the sick, upon request. The bedridden or chronically ill can be placed on the “Eucharistic Ministers” visitation schedule. Wedding: Engaged couples must make arrangements in person, at the office at least six months in advance.

First Reading: Acts 4:8-12 Peter explains to the elders that his healing of a cripple was done in the name of Jesus Christ. He reminds he elders that they crucified Jesus, but God rose him up so that all people could be saved in his name.
Second Reading: I John 3:1-2 John expresses amazement at the fact that God allowed us to be called his children. Although we are unsure exactly what we will be after this life, we do know that we will see God as he is and be like him.
Gospel: John 10:11-18 Jesus speaks of a shepherd working only for pay, with no real concern for the sheep being well cared for. But Jesus is our shepherd and would lay down his own life for all those in his flock. God loves him for his willingness to sacrifice himself for the sake of all God’s children.

CUARTO DOMINGO DE PASCUA El Evangelio de Lucas y los Hechos de los Apóstoles son dos partes de una narración escrita por el mismo autor. El Evangelio se concentró en la vida de Jesús y los Hechos en la Iglesia primitiva. Lucas, en su Evangelio, escribe que Jesús dijo: “Cuando los lleven a las sinagogas y ante los jueces y autoridades, no se preocupen de cómo se van a defender o qué van a decir, porque el Espíritu Santo les enseñará en aquel momento lo que convenga decir” Eso lo vemos repetidamente en los Hechos, después que Jesús ha dado el Espíritu Santo. En la primera lectura vemos cómo Pedro le responde a Anás y Caifás, y a otros miembros del Sanedrín después de haber curado a un hombre discapacitado que a menudo se sentaba a la puerta del templo para pedir limosna. Pedro había sido arrestado y ahora comparecía ante el consejo. Habiendo sido forzado a defenderse, confiaba ahora en el Espíritu Santo que le diera sabiduría y valor. Consciente de que era sólo un instrumento y que verdaderamente el poder venía de Dios, Pedro, sabia y correctamente, testificó que el hombre había sido curado por medio de Cristo Jesús, que es la fuente de toda la salvación. Además, el Espíritu Santo le dio el valor para decir eso a la precisa gente que se habían asegurado de que mataran a Jesús. El sanedrín dejó a Pedro en libertad, porque un buen número de gente vio lo que había pasado y ese día llegaron a creer en Jesús. Debido a incidentes como éste la Iglesia primitiva creció en número y en la fe. En el nombre de Jesús, el Buen Pastor, que le dijo a sus discípulos que habían otras ovejas que también oirían su voz y que nos dio el Espíritu Santo, nuestro Consolador, hay vidas que se transforman y así el Cuerpo de Cristo se extiende.
