Transport Access Program Rooty Hill Station Upgrade and Commuter Car Park

Thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout the construction of the Rooty Hill Station

Upgrade and Commuter Car Park.

We have now completed:

The multi-level Commuter Car Park accommodating 750 vehicles with solar panels on the roof

and EV charging stations

New wider stairs and overhead canopies to reduce congestion and protect commuters from

extreme heat and rain

Platform resurfacing to reduce the gap and height for commuters getting on and off the trains

Four new lifts connecting commuters from North Parade and Beams Avenue to all platforms at

Rooty Hill Station.

The station and commuter car park are now open for use, with some minor finishing work to take

place in the coming weeks, including closure of the North Parade storage yard and some minor

platform work.

Weekend work

To improve the safety of workers, pedestrians and motorists, some minor modification work will be

required during a scheduled Sydney Trains track work period, where no trains will be running. This

work will take place between 4am, Saturday 29 February and 12am, Monday 2 March. Rooty Hill

Station will be closed, however the footbridge and lifts will remain open to pedestrians to allow

access from south and north side of the station.
