“Miracle on Dearborn Street”: The day was February 23rd 1905, the place, a small room in a typical business office on Dearborn Street in Chicago, where three friends were eager to listen to the idea of their lawyer friend, Paul Harris, who wanted to start a new kind of club. “Each of us would have some thought for the welfare of the other fellow” the idea appealed to all four of them. Thus Rotary was born. Rotary came from a lonely man’s hunger for friendship and fellowship. Paul Harris named this club “Rotary” because the place of meeting was rotated at their places of business. Today, Rotary (International) encompasses all the continents, over 35,000 communities and 1.2 million members. Today, Rotary is the first and most Interna-tional of the world’s service organizations, where business and professional men and women provide humanitarian service, maintain high ethical standard in their vocations and help build goodwill and peace throughout the world.

Our Core Values
Rotary's core values represent the guiding principles of the organization's culture,
including what guides members' priorities and actions within the organization. Val-
ues are an increasingly important component in strategic planning because they drive
the intent and direction of the organization's leadership.
Service We believe that our service activities and programs bring about greater world under-
standing and peace. Service is a major element of our mission. Through the plans and
actions of individual clubs, we create a culture of service throughout our organization
that provides unparalleled satisfaction for those who serve.
Fellowship We believe that individual efforts focus on individual needs, but combined efforts
serve humanity. The power of combined efforts knows no limitation, multiplies re-
sources, and broadens our lives and perspectives. Fellowship leads to tolerance and
transcends racial, national, and other boundaries.
Diversity We believe Rotary unifies all people internationally behind the ideal of service. We
encourage diversity of vocations within our membership and in our activities and ser-
vice work. A club that reflects its business and professional community is a club with
a key to its future.
Integrity We are committed to and expect accountability from our leaders and fellow mem-
bers, both in the results of our efforts and in the processes we use to accomplish
our goals. We adhere to high ethical and professional standards in our work and per-
sonal relationships. We are fair and respectful in our interactions, and we conscien-
tiously steward the resources entrusted to us.
Leadership We are a global fellowship of individuals who are leaders in their fields of endeavor.
We believe in the importance of leadership development and in leadership as a quality
of our members. As Rotarians, we are leaders in implementing our core values.
All of these core values are reflected in the Object of Rotary and The Four-Way Test,
which we use in our daily lives. They inspire us to foster and support the ideal of ser-
vice for developing and maintaining integrity in human relations.

District 6650
Directory 2018-2019
Statement of Use The District 6650 Directory is published annually for the information of District 6650
Rotarians. Copies are distributed to each Rotary Club and District 6650 Officers.
Additional copies are available upon request.
The District 6650 directory should not be used as a commercial mailing list or mar-
keting tool or made available for anyone else to use for that purpose. (2013-2014
Rotary Manual of Procedure RCP 11.030.6, Page 17. Commercialization)
Information in this directory has been provided by each club and/or club officer at
the request of the District Governor. An effort has been undertaken to reproduce
this information as accurately as possible; however this document may contain
some inadvertent errors.
Please report any mistakes, changes or omissions to DG Scott Schulick or Janet
Keene, Editor.
Do not reproduce or distribute any portion of this directory without the written per-
mission of the DG Scott Schulick.
USE OF THE ROTARY EMBLEM AND ROTARY MARKS
Neither the Rotary Emblem nor any of the Rotary Marks may be altered, modified or
obstructed, nor reproduced other than in their complete form. The Rotary Emblem
may be printed in any single color or in two colors. When it is printed in two colors,
it must be reproduced in its official colors of royal blue (PANTONE® 286 Blue) and
either metallic gold (PANTONE® 871 Metallic Gold) or gold (PANTONE® 123 C or
115 U Gold [yellow]). The Rotary Emblem should never be printed in more than two
colors.
The most common improper reproductions of the Rotary Emblem are as follows: 1)
not reproducing the Rotary Emblem in its entirety, 2) the keyway is missing from
the center of the Rotary Emblem, 3) the keyway is filled in, and 4) the Rotary
Emblem is partially covered or modified. In order to preserve the integrity of the
Rotary Emblem, District Governors always should reproduce the Rotary Emblem in
its entirety and according to RI Board guidelines for use of the Rotary Marks and
encourage the Rotary clubs in their district to do the same.

world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business,
professional, and community leaders.

tions and individuals throughout the world.
Of the things we think, say or do
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
