Step 1: Clean the connector or the grounding clip.Step 2: Uncoil the waterproof insulation tape.Step 3: Stick one end of the tape to the IF cable 2 to 5 cm away from theconnector or the grounding clip. The sticky side should face inwards.

Step 4: Stretch the tape until it is 3/41/2 as wide as its original size.Stretch the tape in this manner when performing the following steps.Step 5: Wrap the cable spirally towards the connector or the groundingclip at a point that is 2 to 5 cm away from the connector or the groundingclip. Make sure that the overlapping area of the adjacent tape layers is 1/2of the stretched width.Step 6: When the tape reaches a point that is 2 to 5 cm away from theconnector or the grounding clip on the other side, reverse the wrappingdirection so that the tape reaches the starting point.Step 7: When the tape reaches the starting point, reverse the wrappingdirection so that the tape reaches the other ending point. That is, there are

three layers of waterproof insulation tape.Step 8: After wrapping, squeeze the tape until it sticks to the cable. Thisensures that there is no air between the layers of tape.Step 9: Similarly, wrap three layers of PVC tape over the waterproofinsulation tape. During the wrapping, maintain the stretched length suchthat the width of the PVC tape is to 1/2 of the original size.Step 10: After waterproof processing, use the outdoor bundling strap tobind the PVC tape tightly at the positions 1 cm away from the wrappingedges at both ends, to prevent aging and falling off of the PVC tape.Appearance of waterproofed outdoor connector

Step 2: Ensure that the V mark on the OTU points in the polarization

direction of the antenna. If the antenna is vertically polarized, ensure thatthe V mark points upwards or downwards. If the antenna is horizontallypolarized, ensure that the V mark points left or right. Place the ODUantenna port against the feed boom. Slowly fit the feed boom in such thatthe four ODU latches engage with the four antenna hooks.

Remark: When you install the ODU, the IF port of the ODU should facedownwards.

4.4.1 Installing the Hybrid Coupler on the AntennaStep 1: Check the polarization direction of the antenna.Step2: If the antenna is vertically polarized, no need to change anythingand go to step 3 or if the antenna is horizontally polarized do the followingto change the polarizationInstall a horizontal polarizer.1. Remove the protective cap from the antenna port on the coupler.2. Remove the polarization component on the antenna port of the coupler.3. Replace the polarization converter on the polarization component byusing a horizontal polarizer.4. Install the polarization component back onto the antenna port on the
