Russian pies (Pierogi ruskie)

Russian pies are popular in Poland and Ukraine.The pie is made of flour, water, eggs and salt.

The stuffing is made of cottage cheese and potatoes with salt, pepper and onion.

People eat Russian pies with crackling, fried onion or cream.

In the past, people ate Russian pies that were fried, not boiled.

A recipe for Russian pies

Ingredients:flour, 1 egg, salt, water, milk, potatoes, cottage cheese,

1 onion, grease, salt and pepperRecipe:Add hot water to flour. Mix with a fork. Add the egg and

salt.Mix potatoes and cottage cheese. Add milk and onion.Put the filling into the pie. Make small pies.Boil for 8 minutes. Then you can fry the pies.
