Lots of changes taking place in the parish this week! The parish staff has moved into the New Parish Center. Most meetings with the staff can now take place in our new offices (this includes meeting with the priests and Deacon Mortel). Susan Robison, our parish secretary, will still be available in the former office space but will definitely be in place in the New Parish Center after Labor Day.

Beth Palmer, our parish Director of Music, has resigned her position at Saint Joan of Arc. We thank her for sharing her musical talents with us and wish her only the best in future endeavors.

Dr. Barbara Hasson, our Parish Manager, is retiring after many years of service to the Church. We are truly grateful for the many gifts she brought to this position and she will be missed. We wish Barbara many years of happy retirement and thank her for all she did for our parish!

May God reward both Barbara and Beth for their service!

Seminarian Sunday: August 12th & 13th

For several months, we have been praying for our two parish seminarians, Matthew Morelli and Thomas Meinert. At all

masses over the weekend of August 12/13, you will have an opportunity to meet and hear one of them give their vocation story.

Although the diocese helps defray the cost of seminary education, there are many expenses not covered. At the10:30am Mass, the Knights of Columbus will present our parish seminarians with a financial gift. Corpus Christi parish in Chambersburg leads the “Support Our Seminarians” apostolate which provides practical items for all seminarians in the diocese of Harrisburg and needs our help. To support this apostolate, postage stamps will be collected after all masses the weekend of August 12 &13, and distributed to all seminarians in the diocese of Harrisburg.

If you are interested in learning more about the Support Our Seminarians apostolate, please contact Pam Meinert at (717) 304-6238.

God’s Way – “The Road to Kindness”

We are 14 days into our summer Kindness Act Challenge! How is it going? Your Kindness is touching someone’s life!

We have 7 days left - one of our parish members suggested that we provide 7 Kindness Acts for you to consider during these last 7 days of our Kindness Act Challenge. So here are 7 Kindness Acts for you to consider:

1. Let someone go ahead of you at the checkout Line - whether at the super market, retail outlet or if you are buying a cup of coffee, etc. This is an easy one to do since during the week, most of us will find ourselves waiting in line!

2. Bring donuts to the office! A dozen donuts will cost you $8 to $10. A Kindness offer that will always put a smile on your co-workers face!

3. Cook a meal for a friend or neighbor! Everyone can use some help with cooking a meal. This could be a surprise or you could let your friend or neighbor know you will be making them a meal. Enjoy their company!

4. Leave a note of encouragement for a family member, friend or co-worker. Everyone can use some words of encouragement!

5. Say good morning to everyone that you see! Kicking off everyone’s day with a good morning can set the tone for a great day!

6. Parents and Children! Parents hug your children and tell them how special they are to you! Children hug your parents and tell them that you love them!

7. Smile! Smile at everyone - a smile goes a long way in showing that your Kindness and Care! Mother Teresa said “Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing!”

Join in on the 21 Day Challenge – there is still 7 days to go!

Follow God’s Way – the Road to Kindness!

Please share your act of kindness by emailing them to:
