The SOSU Accounting and FinanceClub went to the Under His Wings
Ministry in Durant to prepare taxesthrough the Volunteer Income Tax
Assistance (VITA) program.
The students prepared taxes andoffered tax consultations for those
who were there. Club president AshtinGann even spent some time learning
from the quilters!
There were five interns at VITA thisyear who worked hard and completed
almost 500 tax returns to date. VITAwas shut down early due to COVID-19
but students have completed theirinternships.
The Under His Wings ladies arequilting and the Southeastern
Accounting and Finance Club studentsare doing taxes for them throughVITA. You can see a few students
working at the table.

Business Policy team members TerriFullenwider, Jaycees McLean, Jordan
Scarberry, Katelyn Self, Zack Walker, ZigaZatezic, and Bryce Hughes from Team
Chester; Kenneth Cone, Benjamin Finet,Sheila Hairrell, Shelby Langston, Michael
Nwosu, Raylee Rogers, and Justin Vasquezfrom Team Ferris; and Brycen Bass,
Bretton Covey, Ellie Flynn, Nathan Hodson,Traci Renbarger, Judy Sanchez-Fernandez,

teams worldwide in the businesssimulation Capsim.

An Important Graduation Requirement
All John Massey School of Businessstudents are required to take the Major
Field Test (MFT exam) and earn a passinggrade on the exam which is taken duringtheir final semester at Southeastern. Theexam is part of the Business Policy classand detailed information is available to
students on Blackboard.
Note: Students must meet all requiredprerequisite courses before enrolling in
Business Policy and must be approved bytheir adviser and the Business Policyprofessor. Students take MNGT 4633
Business Policy in their last semester ofstudy. Students must have successfully
completed marketing and finance and begraduating in the semester in which they
enroll in Business Policy.
