Here’s what I am getting at. Over these past 6 years it has been exciting to see the relationships growing between pastors and churches. I believe that perhaps now more than ever it’s time to see that grow even more. Not just in it taking place coming through the Association office, but from church to church, pastor to pastor and even church member to church member. How can you in your church find a way to encourage and help another church? We see this already as churches share VBS material and resources, but what other ways might this take place? Some ideas; mission work whether locally or outside the area – if you have a trip planned consider opening it up to others in other churches; special events – see if another church would like to partner with you for greater impact; camps – maybe some students from another church could go with your group; senior adult groups – got a fun trip planned? Invite another senior adult church group to go along. There are many ways that we can partner together for the encouragement and ministry of all of us. That’s what it is to be an Association of churches. So I encourage you this year, think outside the walls of just your church and build the fellowship with another church.
