1. MysteryFrom Greek word “mysterion”

which means:

A reality that is something secret, hidden, or not fully manifested

In the bible, it is the hidden divine plan of God which was revealed through the prophets in the O.T. and to the apostles in the N.T. about Jesus Christ as the Savior and redeemer of all men.

Page 17: Sacramental to eucharist xt centered

MysteryIt is not that it has some secrets

hiding from the people of God or something that we can never fully understand or grasp. Yet there are realities we have to know MORE about God.

Mysterion is God’s loving design for the salvation of all peoples

Holy Eucharist

The Eucharist, the climax of Christian initiation, is the center, “the source and summit of the whole Christian life” (LG no. 11).

“For it commemorates the PASCHAL MYSTERY OF CHRIST.”

The term eucharist is derived from the Greek word eucharistia which means “thanksgiving.” Jesus himself “gave thanks” at the Last Supper (Luke 22:19; 1 Cor 11:24; Mk 14:23; Mt 26:27).
