The annual Advent Morning Retreat will be held on Saturday, December 10th in the Parish Hall. Refreshments will be available at 8:30 AM; the retreat will begin at 9 AM until 11:45 AM. The morning will consist of

scripture, prayer, reflections and quiet time. Please register at the parish office 610-932-5040, ext. #1.

Advent is here Come to Eucharistic Adoration

“ Eucharistic Adoration is the greatest of actions. To adore is to share the life of Mary on earth when she adored the Word Incarnate in her virginal womb, when she adored Him in the Crib.”

(St. Peter Julian Eymard)

Eucharistic Adoration is open to all and is held every Tuesday from 8 am until 7 pm and will conclude with Mass at 7 pm. Nothing is needed to do this but an open heart to Our Lord, Jesus Christ. You can stop in anytime on Tuesday for any length of time and just enjoy the quiet and peace that can only be found with the Lord.

We are presently in need of an adorer for 1 pm.

If you are interested in becoming an adorer or would just like to know more about Eucharistic

Adoration, contact Joann Di Liberto at 610 932 8962 or complete a contact form found in the grey

box labeled Eucharistic Adoration (next to the Sacred Heart Statue) and Joann will contact you.

Sacred Heart School News

This year’s art program is off to an exciting start! Our students are continuing to work on the bottle cap mural entitled, The Creation Story, and all students in grades K-8 enjoyed a walking field trip to Howett’s and the Art Alliance earlier in the fall. The students spent then began working on printmaking.

Sacred Heart School Alumni

We are so proud of all of our alumni and are in the process of updating our alumni database. We would like to keep you informed and up to date on all of the exciting things happening at Sacred

Heart. We would also like to hear from you about your experiences and accomplishments! Do you have a new address, email or phone number? We would love to know! Please update your

information by contacting the development office at [email protected] or going to the school’s website and completing the alumni registration form found under the development tab.

We recently had an architect and interior designer visit with our students for our monthly art program. Classes will be working on the following projects:

Kindergarten and 1st grade are designing houses using basic shapes.

2nd and 3rd grades are making a dimensional city out of paper with 3 layers including skyscrapers,

apartment buildings and houses.

4th and 5th grades are doing an interior design project using what they have learned about color to select all the elements of a room and placing it on a design board.

6th and 7th grades are drawing a city scene in one point perspective.

8th grade students are drawing tree houses using a two point perspective.

Please contact our development director, Jennifer Whelan, to inquire about our programs or schedule a tour. It’s never too early to begin planning for your child’s education. Financial aid forms are now available for the

2017-18 school year. [email protected] or 610-932-3633
