SAFE-STREAM “Safe-Stream” is a free one-click instant broadcasting feature and stand–alone app of BCAST arriving in late summer 2016 which immediately initiates a live broadcasting stream from a mobile device or third party camera into the BCAST portal “Safety Cloud” with viewing permission notifications sent to preset individuals. Safe-Stream broadcasts are archived and are not shared with the general public except for “Safety” members preset by the user (Spouse, Parent, Nearby Friends or in some instances public officials) or when sharing has been selected. The purpose of the feature is to provide a layer of visibility and enhance public safety of the BCAST member. A user would engage the Safe-Stream feature in emergency response situations and/or should they be in a situation in which they believe that a disclosed (“I am LIVE-STREAMING”) cloud stored record would modify behavior in potentially risky scenarios with all involved knowing that people are watching and a record is being made. With Safe-Stream operating in the background of a mobile device a user can go about normal use-, texting, phone calls, etc and simply adjust camera angle if necessary to confront a situation. When Safe-Streaming, location data is tracked and the mobile device camera’s backlight is activated with a steady flashing providing approaching individuals notification.
