peak time of the day. Vertical tracking of
module surfaces in photovoltaic systems
ensures higher solar yields and enables
the systems to consistently generate
power throughout the entire day. Fixed
systems will generally only offer peak
power generation within a narrow time
frame, whereas tracking systems by
IdeemaTec precisely follow the sun‘s
path maximising power generation from
morning till night.

3IN EVERY RESPECT, A RELIABLE SYSTEM
Control concept features dual protection system The safeTrack Vertec‘s control and
monitoring system using calendar
data combines the concept of a
redundant proprietary control solution
and computer-based technology.
The tracker’s position is calculated
in real-time based on the project‘s
geographical properties (latitude,
longitude and Universal time), thus
deriving the actual path of the sun. The
trackers will independently move into the
optimum position with high accuracy.
From commissioning on, the data is
permanently stored – no fi ne-tuning is
necessary. All tracking systems can
always determine the correct position,
even in regions without a reliable power
supply.
The safeTrack Vertec features an
independent backup system as a
safeguard for the regular system control
that is activated in the unlikely event that
the primary control fails.
IdeemaTec thus offers customers an
extremely reliable tracking system for
their individual systems, in addition to the
low failure rates, which have been proven
in long-term studies.
Wind tunnel tested up to 185 km/h (115 mph)One of the extraordinary features of
the safeTrack Vertec system is its
robustness. This line of tracking systems
has been subjected to wind tunnel
testing with speeds up to 185 km/h
(115 mph) since the research and
development stage, ensuring proven
durability from the start. Our tracking
systems do not need to rotate into the
safety position to protect them against
adverse wind conditions like many other
systems on the market. This attribute
enables you to install them in extremely
windy regions without any problems and
to attain consistently high yields.
Powerful drive units and motorsIn its tracking systems IdeemaTec uses
only robust, durable and maintenance-
free, off-the-shelf double worm drive units
and motors that have proven themselves
in industrial applications over time.
This ensures that the tracking system
operates reliably and trouble-free, even
withstanding high wind and snow loads.
4 FAST AND VERSATILE INSTALLATION
Rapidly installed, lower costs IdeemaTec believes in providing installation
systems that save both time and money
for all of its products, and its safeTrack
Vertec tracking system is no different.
Therefore, we do not use pre-welded or
unwieldy pre-mounted assemblies. At the
same time, the system can be installed
much more quickly, reducing the effort for
construction site logistics and ensuring
the quality of the installation from a
central point.
IdeemaTec has eliminated the need for
heavy equipment such as cranes when
installing the tracking systems. For the
most part, they can be installed using
a simple handheld impact screwdriver,
which provides a major advantage
especially in remote areas or countries
with limited infrastructure.
Suitable for any type of groundTracking systems by IdeemaTec are
impressive both in terms of their high
fl exibility and excellent adaptability.
For example, you can either ram their
foundations into the ground or use
concrete fi lling, which means you can
use the foundation pipes on nearly any
type of ground/subsurface. Topsoil, sand,
partially wet subsoil, or even naked rock
– IdeemaTec is capable of adapting its
safeTrack Vertec systems to the local
conditions in a cost-effective manner.
Perfect for any topographyThe safeTrack Vertec demonstrates great fl exibility in your choice of topographies.
Many other types of tracking systems, especially horizontal tracking solutions, require
a virtually fl at topography, a condition that generally incurs higher costs and requires
detrimental ecological impact to the area. In contrast, our systems adapt to the
prevailing natural conditions without needing to destroy natural formations. The Vertec
model has repeatedly been installed under extremely diffi cult conditions where the
surfaces featured slopes greater than 20 % (11.31°), without having come up against
its limit yet.
5SERVICE RIGHT FROM THE START
Maintenance-free to the extremeIdeemaTec has designed its mounting
systems for maximum durability, which
includes our fi xed-tilt mounting systems,
our horizontal tracking systems and even
our vertical safeTrack Vertec tracking
system. A visual inspection of the system
is usually all that is required, thanks
to the consistent use of extremely
robust and particularly maintenance-free
components.
Above and beyond the regular
maintenance work, the Vertec system
is exceptional in terms of excellent
reliability and a long service life: Its failure
rate of just under 0.002 %, which was
measured in the more than 28,000
systems installed in recent years (as of
September 2013) is nothing short of
impressive.
