TRINITY SUNDAY June 11, 2017

Pastor’s ReflectionPastor’s ReflectionPastor’s ReflectionPastor’s Reflection Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Blessed Trinity. The Father, the Son and Holy Spirit-Three Persons in God. They are the Creator, the Redeemer and the Sanctifier. The Triune God dwells in each of us. God is all Love and Mercy. Today we recommit ourselves to live lives allowing that Triune God of Love to possess us, becoming a Holy Fire, thus transforming the world into one of Peace and Love!

Peace, Father Jude

Families and the GospelFamilies and the GospelFamilies and the GospelFamilies and the Gospel As the Father “sent his son into the world” so parents send their children into the world “so that the world might be saved.” This is the missionary role of the Christian family. Your family is a school where your children develop convictions which enable them to make a difference in the world.

Marriage MattersMarriage MattersMarriage MattersMarriage Matters Self-giving is not the same as being a door-mat. Self-giving does not equate with doing everything your spouse wants you to do. Self-giving does not mean accommodating destructive habits, doing things that go against your principles, or accepting behaviors that are demeaning to you and to your spouse. Sometimes self-giving requires challenging your spouse respectfully. Are you able to challenge your spouse’s wishes or actions in a respectful manner? Parish FestivalParish FestivalParish FestivalParish Festival

We are appealing to all of our Parishioners to help make our Parish festival the most successful ever! The weekend affair will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 28, 29 and 30. Please keep your schedule free for these days and plan to volunteer to work at one of our many booths or the Sunday dinner.

If you find any items that you can no longer use, why not put them in a box and donate them to our yard sale which will take place at this year’s festival? Items may be dropped off at the School. No Electronics. For further information call Bob McGowan at 243-9421.

If you did not receive your tickets for the Cash Giveaway or the money raffle, they may be picked up at the Annex, or stop at the Parish Office.

We will also need assistance with our ethnic foods. If you are able to assist in making haluski and stuffed cabbage, or trimming chicken, call the Parish Office for scheduling. Those who are able to work in any of the booths, are asked to call Marty Westrick at 244-0646. Need cucumbers the week of July 24 for the Festival dinner.

Any one wishing to do a basket for the Basket Auction should call Norma Farabaugh at 344-6356. Due to new PLCB regulations, basket donations may not contain alcohol in any form. Instead, gift cards can be included in donated baskets. Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

Business owners and managers are also asked to sponsor a sign for one of the festival booths. The price for the three-day event cannot be beat — $50. Payment can be dropped off at the Parish Office.
