WHY PINK? Today is Laetare Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Lent, so called from the first Latin words of the entrance antiphon at Mass, “Laetare Jerusalem” – “Rejoice, O Jerusalem”. This Sunday marks the middle of Lent. Special signs of joy are permitted on this day, intended to encourage the faithful in their course through the season of penance; among these are the priest's pink, or rose-colored, vestments instead of purple. Sacred Heart Lenten Baskets This Sacred Heart Ladies Guild Lenten project will end on Palm Sunday. Many in our community will benefit from our outreach and support. Appreciation is extended to those who are participating to make this a success. MEETING REMINDERS Worship Committee Meeting: After today's Mass, in St. Bernard Conference Rm. CCD Faith Formation for children in grades 4 – 8: Wednesday's class will be the last class for this school year. Classes will resume in September. “HOMECOMING SUNDAY!” is next Sunday.
