Parish Intention of the month As we remember both all saints and all souls, let

us pray for the millions of innocent babies martyred in the womb by abortion, and for the conversion of heart of those responsible.

Thanksgiving Office Hours Wed, 11/27 - 9:00am - 12 noon Thurs, 11/28 & Fri 11/29 - Closed

There will be NO Adoration on Thursday, Nov 28th and No Mass on Friday, Nov 29th. May you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving.

When people ask me the name of our parish I usually tell them, “St James the Less, where we do great things.” This Sunday we approach the end of the Liturgical Year. The year ends with the Feast of Christ the King and the new year starts on the First Sunday of Advent. Over the last two years we have had many new and wonderful changes to our Church here at St James. It has been possible by the generosity of donors, they know who they are and I thank them on behalf of our community, and fund raising events in which we all can participate. That is called "extraordinary income” which is used for specific purposes, respecting the wishes of the donor. For example, the “Formed” program which is funded by a generous donation and the McQuillen Scholarship which is managed by the parish and has been active and funded in spite of all the vagaries of the financial markets. In this bulletin you can see the parish financial summary for this year. “Ordinary income” is for the usual expenses of running the church from day to day. This comes from our Sunday and holy day donations. This is the bread and butter of the Church from which we pay all our ordinary expenses to keep the parish facilities looking beautiful. I do my best to keep things “in the black” and we have been successful at it since my second year. St James the Less Cemetery is part of our parish and its finances are separate from the church ministries. Good and careful stewardship of our parish is a major effort and working together we can continue to “do great things”. My wish is for our church to be the best in the diocese. It can only happen if we work together by increasing our community and bringing our all to the worship and praise of our Triune God. He will surely continue to bless us and keep us. Thank you for your continued generosity and support.
