Welcome
Dear Friends,
I hope everyone is feeling well. I am praying for you every day. I offer Mass every day, often joined by Deacon Dan. We pray that most parishioners will not get sick and that the infected will recover. We pray that those who are forced to work extra hours and who are potentially at greater risk can handle the stress and worry. Many events that we had looked forward to at work, school or elsewhere have been cancelled or postponed. Easter has not! While it may look like nothing we’ve seen before, we are celebrating Easter. Please go to our Facebook page and/or website to watch our Easter Masses. We will celebrate the Easter Vigil Saturday and an 8 a.m. Easter Mass on Sunday morning. While you can watch the Vigil at the traditional time of 7:30 p.m., as we did Holy Thursday, the celebration will take place at 4 p.m. to accommodate those who prefer the Mass before dinner. At communion time, Deacon Dan prays what is called a Spiritual Communion (see below). It is an acknowledgement that although we cannot be together for reception of the Eucharist the desire in our hearts spiritually connects us as a Eucharistic community. Thanks to all who have signed up for online giving or made other efforts to help our parishes during the current financial crisis.

From the beginning of time, God revealed his love for us. Though humankind turned away again and again through the ages, God repeatedly and faithfully offered his love and protection, finally sending his Son who died to save us. Nothing can separate us from the love of God, for Christ has even conquered death.
SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.

STAYING CONNECTED DESPITE SOCIAL DISTANCING
Parishioners have been very appreciative of the many ways we are continuing to connect with them during this time of crisis. As the Covid-19 pandemic put more and more limits to the interactions with our parishioners, our mission became very clear—pray for and stay connected with our parishioners. To that measure, we have reached out to you and kept you informed by way of continuing the celebration of Mass (virtually), helping our senior citizens and home-bound through our Youth Ministry, parish website, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, E-Newsletter, our new Prayer Wall, and of course the weekly bulletin. Some of these avenues have been a learning curve for us as per-haps it has been for you too. Our goal is to reach every-one… in every way possible.
CONTINUING TO SUPPORT OUR PARISHES Just as we have been using every venue to reach our parishioners, they in turn have been using many ways to continue to connect and support our Parishes. For this we are eternally grateful! St. Mary Cemetery What is a Columbarium?
As you stroll through the St. Augustine section of St. Mary Cemetery, you will notice a three-wall granite structure.
St. Mary’s Cemetery on Randolph Street, maintained and operated by St. John Parish, has a beautiful granite columbarium with niches available for purchase. The columbarium choice has a pricing schedule which is “all-inclusive”—covering the right of burial, the opening, and engraving of the granite front plate.
If this is a choice for you, or one that you are considering, please call Barbara McKenney at the Canton Catholic Community Administrative Office at 781-828-0090 x311.
This is a columbarium—it’s an above-ground building or wall that houses spaces to respectfully repose the ashes of those who have been cremated.
