BISHOP DAVID J. WALKOWIAK ASKS US TO PRAY FOR OUR SEMINARIANS

Loving God, raise up dedicated leaders who will shepherd your people and guide them to your Son. Give generous and willing hearts to the seminarians of our Diocese who have heard your call to live a life of service to the Church. Help us to encourage and support them as they strive to become priests who are models of discipleship, possessors of wisdom and on fire with love for your people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. We especially pray for: Eric B. Rewa

PLEASE REMEMBER THESE ST. MARY’S PARISHIONERS IN YOUR PRAYERS

Pre-School thru 2nd grade Children’s Liturgy / 11AM Mass In Children’s Liturgy of the Word we shared with the children that in today’s Gospel it took a lot of courage for the leper to approach Jesus and ask to be healed. The leper declared a belief in Jesus and in his power to heal him. He said, “If you wish, you can make me clean.” In that statement, the leper is putting himself totally in Jesus’ hands. We asked the children to imagine how wonderful it must have made the leper feel to be healed and become clean! With just one touch from our compassionate God we are made clean, too. When we partake of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we receive God’s compassion and mercy. Like the leper, we come before God, asking him to heal us and restore us to life. When was the last time you went to confes-sion? Like the leper in today's Gospel, let us have total faith in Jesus' healing power knowing he can also make us clean! This Wednesday marks the start of Lent. Lent beckons us to walk forty days with the Lord. We fast as the Hebrews did during their forty years in the desert. We pray as Jesus did when he withdrew to the desert for forty days. During this season, we are invited to think and to pray deeply as we prepare ourselves to celebrate the Paschal Mystery, to enter into the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Christ so that we may come to share in new life. We begin the season marked by the Sign of the Cross with ashes on Ash Wednesday. We will have Religious Education classes this Wednesday, February 14 and then walk the children over to Church for Ash Wednesday Mass at 7:00 p.m. Please join us for Ash Wednesday Mass. What a beautiful way for your family to start Lent by going to Mass together! Pick up will be at Church after Mass. 1st-7th Grade Classes- Wednesday, Parish Hall / 6:15- 7:30 pm 8th Grade Confirmation Classes -Wednesday, Parish Hall 6:45- 8:30 pm High School Ministry - Youth/Life Teen Nights:
