A R F F G Meditating the Word of God Brothers and sisters, today we celebrate the mystery of the Holy Trinity, today's readings invite us to meditate on this mystery, with a brief content. This may be a good indication that in the face of this mystery, which is the very mystery of God, we must begin by re-nouncing "explaining" it is, entering it to unravel its "elements" and put them before our eyes. We cannot "enter" into the mystery of God in the first place, because we cannot manipulate God. Furthermore, because God is not a "problem" that requires a solution with the force of our reason. The first thing is that we have to be in a spirit of openness; we have to open ourselves to the contemplation of the mystery of the Holy Trinity. We cannot enter into the mystery of God, but it is God himself who steps forward to come out of himself, to reveal himself, to say himself, to give himself. It is the Lord who “comes down from the cloud” and stays with us, as he stayed with Moses; it is God who manifests himself, and his showing consists in revealing himself as mercy and compassion, rich in clemency and loyalty, ready to walk with us. What God tells us about himself is admirably summarized in the words of Jesus to Nicodemus: "God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that none of those who believe in him would perish, but have eternal life." The mystery of the Trinity, that is, of the inner life of God, is a mystery of love, and of an extreme love, difficult to understand, because it is a love until death, but it saves and gives life, and a life full, which is what eternal life means. To under-stand a love like this, to the extreme, means to be surprised by it, to welcome it, to assimilate it, to make it your own, and this is to begin to understand the mystery of the Trinity. Because this mystery is of a loving God who gives himself totally without reservation with total purity. But if God “loved the world so much” as to deliver his own Son to him, it is that delivery is the very essence of God, so that his inner life already consists in giving himself to each other in pure love. Saint Paul calls us to unanimity and peace; But not in a romantic or easy sense: we all know how much it costs to harmonize tempers and overcome conflicts. But it is that God Himself has shown us the way: true love, which makes up the essence and life of God, consists in the willingness to give life. And we, reached by that love and that life, live in the image of the Trinity when we try to reproduce in our lives that same measure of love.

ON THE CALL TO HOLINESS As adult Catholics of St. Matthew Church, we can continue to learn and grow in understanding our faith by including some of Pope Fran-cis’s teachings in his recent encyclicals and apostolic letters. To fol-low up on last week’s bulletin on voting, Pope Francis, in his apostol-ic letter, “Gaudete et Exsultate” (On the Call to Holiness in Today’s World), has expanded the meaning of being “prolife” while not in any way lessening the importance of the abortion issue. He writes in para-graph #101: “…Our defense of the innocent unborn, for example, needs to be clear firm and passionate, for at stake is the dignity of a human life, which is always sacred and demands love for each person, regardless of his or her stage of development. Equally sacred, how-ever, are the lives of the poor, those already born, the destitute, the abandoned and the victims of human trafficking, new forms of slav-ery, and every form of rejection…” Pope Francis certainly gives us food for prayerful reflection, especially as we experience this very fragile time as a nation. R G Meditando la Palabra de Dios Hermanos y hermanas, hoy celebramos el misterio de la Santísima Trinidad, las lecturas de hoy nos invitan a meditar en este misterio, con un breve contenido. Este puede ser un buen indicativo de que ante este misterio, que es el misterio mismo de Dios, hay que empezar por renunciar a “explicarlo”, es decir, a entrar en él para desentrañar sus “elementos” y ponerlos delante de nuestra mirada. No podemos “entrar” en el misterio de Dios, en primer lugar, porque a Dios no lo podemos manipular. Además, porque Dios no es “problema” que re-quiera una solución con la fuerza de nuestra razón. Lo primero es que tenemos que estar con un espíritu de apertura; tenemos que abrirnos a la contemplación del misterio de la Trinidad. No podemos entrar en el misterio de Dios, pero es Dios mis-mo el que se adelanta a salir de sí, a revelarse, a decirse, a darse. Es el Señor el que “baja de la nube” y se queda con nosotros, como se que-dó con Moisés; es Dios quien se manifiesta, y su mostrarse consiste en revelarse como misericordia y compasión, rico en clemencia y lealtad, dispuesto a caminar con nosotros. Lo que nos dice Dios de sí mismo está admirablemente resumido en las palabras de Jesús a Nicodemo: “Tanto amó Dios al mundo que entregó a su Hijo único para que no perezca ninguno de los que creen en él, sino que tengan vida eterna.” El misterio de la Trinidad, esto es, de la vida interna de Dios, es un misterio de amor, y de un amor extremo, difícil de comprender, porque es un amor hasta la muerte, pero que salva y da vida, y una vida plena, que es lo que significa la vida eterna. Pero es que Dios mismo nos ha mostrado el camino: el verdadero amor, el que compone la esencia y la vida de Dios, consiste en la disposición a dar la vida. Y nosotros, al-canzados por ese amor y esa vida, vivimos a imagen de la Trinidad cuando tratamos de reproducir en nuestra vida esa misma medida de amor.

A MESSAGE FROM DEACON RICHARD On this feast of the Most Holy Trinity, we pronounce that Our God, Father, Son, and Holy Trinity is praiseworthy and exalted above all forever. The catechism tells us that the mystery of the most holy trinity is the central mystery of Christian faith and life (catechism of the Catho-lic Church 234) when we speak of mysteries within our faith, we are not talking about problems to be solved or even concepts that can come to a definite answer, The mystery of God in the holy Trinity are always to some extent be on us in our human capacity to comprehend fully. On the feast of the Most HOLY TRINITY, we have one of the shortest Gospels Redeemed of the year, and the gospel of John the passages only three verses in it but proclaims at the liturgy of the Eucharist often and less than a minute no more than to the opening line of this Gospel reading will be familiar to many as it may be used frequently to sum up Christian theology, God so loved the world that he gave his only son, God is so calls us to love God the father son and Spirit and to love each other and in loving each other we come to understand the most holy trinity, and the love god has for each one of us. This week I ask for the community to pray for soul George Floyd and his grieving family. George Floyd was murder on May 25th by excessive police force. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION OFFICE Dear family Parents, I hope that you all are doing well, Thank God we continue moving forward. As we all know due to COVID-19 we were unable to continue our classes. Through it all we have all grown our faith. I want to inform you that we will not continue our online classes, and classes from home. This is for First Communion children, and Confir-mation Candidates. For those who will receive the Holy Communion, the preparation of the sacraments is slowly moving, we will inform everyone as things come closer. For those who were in first year of formation we will inform you of how the registration will be for your second year of formation. For the Confirmation Candidates we will move forward as soon as the archdioceses gives us a date to celebrate the sacrament. Above all the most important thing is to keep trusting the Lord. Lets continue participating in the liturgies through Facebook. If you have any questions please feel free to let us know. OFFICINA DE ADUCACION RELIGIOSA Queridos padres familia, Espero que todos estén bien llenos de las bendiciones, Gracias a Dios seguimos adelante. Como ya sabemos que a causa del COVID-19 no pudimos continuar nuestras clases de rutina. Pero por medio de la misma nuestra fe sigue en aumento. Les quiero informar que por el momento ya no continuaremos con los programas de co-munión, confirmación, y RICA. Más adelante les informaremos cómo continuaremos en la preparación de sacramentos. Para los niños de primera comunión (segundo año) la celebración de sus sacramentos, se está preparando pero por el momento hay que mantenernos con la comunión espiritual que vivimos. Los niños de primer año más ade-lante se les informará cómo será la registración para el segundo año. Igual para los candidatos de confirmación y RICA. Esperamos que la arquidiócesis nos diga la fecha de la celebración del sacramento de Confirmación, y así podamos continuar. Lo más importante es que mantengamos la confianza en Dios. Man-tengamos la participación de la liturgia por Facebook. Si tienen al-guna pregunta no duden en comunicarse con nosotros. Espero verlos pronto, que la paz & armonia permanezca en sus ho-gares.
