MASS DURING CHURCH RENOVATIONS
All Sunday and Daily masses will take place in the Multi-Purpose Room in the school building during the renovations. The times will remain the same. Confession will also take place in the MPR room following the 8:00 am Saturday daily mass. Adoration will be in the Chapel during the church renovations.
We continue to social distance and wear mask at all times .
Re-Dedication of the Church and Consecration of the Altar The Solemn Mass of the Dedication of the Altar will be celebrated on September 19th at the 4:00 pm vigil mass with Bishop Edward Deliman. Please join us for this wonderful celebration.
“Such are the impressive ceremonies which our Church uses for the sanctifying of a temple of God. It is sprinkled, with holy water; the door and walls are signed with blessed Chrism, the altar is anointed with the same oil, and is made a tomb of one of God’s illustrious servants. The odor of incense fills the house of God, and the solemn prayers of the Church are used to consecrate both temple and altar to His service forever. ‘This is none other than the House of God and the Gate of Heaven” (The Externals of the Catholic Church, Rev. John Sullivan).

St. Maximilian Kolbe School Celebrates 20 Years of Catholic Education
Preserving our Heart, Creating our Future
We are proud to announce the 20th anniversary of our St. Maximilian Kolbe School. Our school was built on the motto “Serving God through Serving Others” which we continue to practice with our students every day. As our school has grown and changed we maintain the strong mission of quality Catholic education. In conjunction with our 20th Anniversary, we are unveiling our new St. Maximilian Kolbe School logo. Our new logo represents a modern approach of our initials with a stylized combination of an uplifting Holy Spirit and our Cardinal mascot, welcoming all to our school. We also have the symbol of our patron saint, St. Maximilian Kolbe – the red and white crowns. Mary appeared to St. Max and asked him if he wanted the red crown of martyrdom or the white crown of virtue. He asked for both crowns. Our new logo is reflective of our STEAM curriculum, with its emphasis on reaching up and out, embracing new ideas and connecting various disciplines. School will look a little different this year, and our school wide celebration will be put on hold, however our mission and values remain the same. We look forward to our 20th year and anticipate many more.

St. Maximilian Kolbe Bible Study -- Your Inheritance as a Child of God
Ephesians was one of the most widely circulated of St. Paul’s writings because of its powerful, practical instructions for disciples of Christ. In fact, its six short chapters contain some of the most discussed passages in the New Testament. The Ephesians: Discover Your Inheritance study examines several much-discussed themes in today’s Christian culture and society–the nature of marriage, the purpose and role of the Church, the preeminence of grace in God’s plan, and the reality of spiritual warfare. In this 8-session program, presenter Jeff Cavins explores what Paul’s letter to the Ephesians tells us about the nature of the Church-–as a body, as a household, as a mystery, as a communion, as a bride, and as an army. Ephesians: Discover Your Inheritance shows the treasures that await us as adopted sons and daughters in the family of God.
This Fall, we will be studying St. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians as part of the Ascension Press Great Adventure Series. The program will begin on Monday, the evening of September 14th in the Kolbe Room in the church at 7:00PM. It will last for 9 sessions and each session will last for up to 2 hours. We will make every effort to maintain social distancing for this class and if we have a larger class then anticipated, we will move to a different location. All attendees will wear a mask. If you would like to join us, please sign up at the rectory before September 3rd. The cost will be $29 for the workbook. If you have any questions, please call or text Joe Pizzino at 484 883 8985.

The young man was at the end of his rope. Seeing no wayout, he dropped to his knees in prayer.
"Lord, I can't go on," he said. "I have too heavy a cross tobear."
The Lord replied, "My son, if you can't bear it's weight, just place your cross inside this room. Then open anotherdoor and pick any cross you wish."
The man was lled with relief. "Thank you, Lord," hesighed, and did as he was told.
As he looked around the room he saw many di erentcrosses; some so large the tops were not visible. Then hespo ed a ny cross leaning against a far wall. "I'd like thatone, Lord," he whispered.
And the Lord replied, "My son, that's the cross youbrought in." Unknown
THE CROSS ROOM Draw your own Cross Room pictures
Taking up a cross doesn’t mean we carry a real cross like Jesus did,it means “follow Jesus”. We are told doing so is some mes hard workor great labor, but it is a labor of love for Jesus, with great rewards.
In the Cross Room story the man thought
his labor was too great. What did he learn?
Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
