Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all

things, and I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though You have already

come, I embrace You and unite myself entirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament/CLOSED Due to the current restrictions regarding group gatherings, there will be no public
adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until further notice ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
STEWARDSHIP Forgiving Stewards The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph
“…as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive.” - COLOSSIANS 3:13 Forgiving is one of the hardest things for people to do. We can’t give what we don’t have. Through Stewardship, we need to receive God’s mercy and forgiveness first before we can give it to others. Go to the sacrament of Reconciliation and receive God’s mercy and forgiveness. Then, share the gift of forgiveness with someone – a family member, a friend or a co-worker. Pick up the phone or text someone right now.
Questions for the New Year 1. Is my family closer at the end of this year? 2. What is the biggest thing I have seen Jesus do in my personal life this year? 3. How has God used me this year in the lives of others? 4. Am I more in love with Jesus & more intimate with His Spirit than I was a year ago? 5. How did my faith get me through this past year? 6. Has my prayer life grown this past year? 7. What do I want to see God do in my life this coming year? 8. What areas of my life do I need to transform, reshape, or change?
May this New Year draw you into the abundant richness of Jesus more than you ever thought possible.
My Deer Parishionerz o St. Padre Pio Parish,
It iz me! Batman, da rectory doggo. This weekend, hoomans will celebrate the Feast of The Holy Family, and I iz very excited cause my daddo has asked me to tell all of my friends here at St. Padre Pio Parish what family means to me as the luckiest doggo in the world. Families come in all sizes, but families are special so it duz not matter what size family you belong to, small, medium or large. The Holy Family was small, there was Mary & Joseph & Jesus. They loved-ed each other very much & Mary & Joseph made sure Jesus always knew how much He was loved & they knew how much He loved them. The Holy Family shows us how important it is to share our love with one another. It is the same with doggos & catz. My daddo & I always lets each other know how much we luvs one another all the time. We do huggies, & kisses & wrestling, (I always letz him win). We cuddle on the couch, take lotz of walkos, and always share our snackos with each other. By the way, hooman snackos are much tastier than doggo snackos, just sayin. But sometimes I duz stuff that I should not do, likez BARKING at the mailman, the FedEx driver, the Amazon driver, the UPS driver, well, u getz the idea. And there was that 1 foxo incident. When that stuffs happens, daddo letz me know I am not acting like a good doggo & he corrects my behavior. (that means he makes me stop-RATS!) The most important thing to remember is that when we belong to a family, we are very lucky because, there is always someone who luvs us and will watch over us. Happy New Year to everyone & thankz to all who sent me snackos and gifts I LUVS ALL YOU GUYS!!!! Batman, da rectory doggo
Exiit qui seminat
While the Christmas songs on the radio have greatly diminished and for many their Christmas trees have already been put away or discarded, the Catholic Church is still celebrating the feast of Christmas itself. The solemnity of Christmas, the highest level of feast day in the Church, lasts for 8 days, just like Easter. During this period we prayerfully reflect upon the impact of the Birth of Christ in our lives. On December the 26th, we celebrate St. Stephen, the first martyr of the early Christian Church. Today, we celebrate the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph and how we are called to echo their "Yes" to the will of God in our lives. Normally on the 27th we celebrate John the Evangelist, whose Gospel we listened to on Christmas Day - the Beloved Disciple that proclaims that Christ is the light that shines forth through the darkness of sin and death and that the darkness can never overcome the light! Monday is the feast of the Holy Innocents, the children who were killed as Herod the Tetrarch attempted to stop the birth of the Messiah. The Octave of Christmas ends on January 1 with our celebration of Mary, the Holy Mother of God. All these feast days help remind us of our mission as Catholic Christians, but our willingness to offer our lives over to God either with the entirety of hearts or even to the point where we are willing to shed our blood. After the Octave of Christmas ends, the Christmas season continues with the Epiphany (the coming of the three Magi who bring gifts to show Jesus as the great high priest, His prophetic mission and His role as King of the Universe) and ends with the Baptism of the Lord on January 10 as Christ gives the great witness of being baptized so that we might do so too. So even though the secular world may think Christmas is over, we know that it is just beginning! May the Christ Child fill us with HIs joy and may we share that joy with one another! God Bless! Fr. Rob Sinatra ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What is God’s Purpose for Family?
It is a matter of obedience to a call within a relationship with God that is supremely over all. The plan and purpose of the family
is to prepare every individual for a creative and spirit-filled life. In coming to know who we are in the family, we are better able to give
ourselves in loving service to others.
Holy Family of Nazareth, be a model of tranquility and harmony for all families.
Give powerful graces to husbands and wives, children and siblings, to overcome differences so they can build a common life
with your own as a model.
100 Questions & Answers about the Marian Apparitions ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Holy Family It is safe to say that the focus of our Church’s attention leading up to the celebration of Christmas is the birth of Jesus. Even though this is one of the most important events in human history, we should never lose sight of the profound example God has given us in the life of the Holy Family…the very people who made the Nativity a reality. It is through reflection on the earthly life of Jesus, Mary and Joseph that we are able to learn unity, trust, sacrifice, obedience, faith & love to the fullness of its meaning. First & foremost, Joseph loved Mary. He accepted the news of her pregnancy with trust. In the face of ridicule & persecution, he vowed to love, protect, & provide for both Mary & her unborn child. Joseph’s deep sense of protection even led to he & Mary abandoning their home, fleeing on a donkey, & eventually welcoming Jesus to this earthly life in a cold, dark manger. How great his trust must have been! Although Mary’s acceptance of God’s perfect will & Joseph’s trust & resignation to the Divine Plan is beautiful, one cannot help but think it was a third decision, made by Joseph & Mary, that allowed the Divine Plan to be carried out. The third component was UNITY. There had to be a moment when the two of them looked into each other’s eyes & made an intentional choice to stand in unity rather than division. This is such an important lesson for marriages & families. There will come a time in all of our marriages where we will have to look at our spouse & children & make a choice to stand together & fight, or walk away in division. In order for families to meet trials & sufferings head-on, the husband & wife must be unified in their faith & belief in God’s providence. Joseph & Mary, armed with Christ in her womb, did this so perfectly. Mary could have said no to the Archangel Gabriel out of fear. Joseph could have walked away from Mary out of embarrassment. Instead, they both cooperated with God’s grace & came together in unity to carry out God’s plan for their life. Isn’t that what we are called to do? Each of our families are called to embark upon a unique journey, just as the Holy family did from the moment of their unified yes to God. As long as we carry Christ with us, we can conquer any challenge.
