About TwinOxide®

TWINOXIDE® DIAMOND 0.3% SOLUTION

TwinOxide® is a unique, advanced delivery system for 99.9x% pure chlorine dioxide in a 0.3% solution without by-products and is applied as a (drinking) water disinfectant. TwinOxide® is delivered as a powder kit component that, once added to a specific volume of water, reacts into a 99.9x% pure chlorine dioxide solution with a kinetic halftime of 30-60 days.

The superior disinfection capacity of chlorine dioxide is with TwinOxide®available without by-products, side effects or undesired hazards. The load on environment of TwinOxide® is negligible as once used the rest product of TwinOxide® is only some salt.

TwinOxide® is easy to transport (by road-, sea- and airfreight), is easy to handle (respect the safety datasheet) and simple to apply (with standard available dosing equipment and without a reactor).

The TwinOxide® method can not be compared to the classical methods for generation of chlorine dioxide as the precursors are different and TwinOxide® meets the highest quality standards. TwinOxide® does not generate by-products, is not explosive and has a long kinetic half time. The TwinOxide® 0.3% solution can even be transported without notable hazard or risk.

TwinOxide® is an advanced delivery system to generate chlorine dioxide with a purity of >99.9x% and does not generate chlorine, chlorate, chlorite or chloride. The active biocidal substance is chlorine dioxide (ClO2) that is much more powerfulthan chlorine (and chlorine type disinfectants), works at a broad pH-range from 4-10 and does not generate any by-products or side effects when applied.

Chlorine dioxide is applied in drinking water since 1944 and is applied in many industries, including drinking water, sewage water, affluent water, the oil & gas industry, paper & pulp industry, cooling towers, pipeline and tank cleaning.

Chlorine and chlorine type disinfectants generate by-products e.g. TriHaloMethanes (THM's) and Mutagen X (MX) that are known to be carcinogenic and a risk for human health. TwinOxide® does not generate these by-products.

TwinOxide® 0.3% solution kills all in water common micro organisms (e.g. bacteria (including coliform and E-coli, cinobacteria), viruses (including Hepatitis), yeast, fungi, protozoan, actinomycetes, cysts, iron, manganese, legionella, anthrax, methanogens, etc.).

TwinOxide in brief

General Features of TwinOxide® 0.3%:•30-40 days shelf life (after mixing component A & B) at 22 degrees Celsius in dark storage facility; •Unmixed imperishable - a guarantee of 5 years after date of production; •NOT explosive; •Only light corrosive (equal to less the corrosivity of water); •A yield of nearly 100%; •Only limited investment in a dosage installation; •Can be used by small, medium and heavy users.

Micro biological Advantages:•Stronger, efficacious and faster biocidal function; •Independent working within a wide range of pH-Value (pH 4-10); •260% more disinfection power compared to chlorine products; •10 times more oxidizing power compared to chlorine products; •Effective removal of biofilms and no resistance building by micro organisms.

Environmental Advantages:•No free chlorine, chlorate, chloride or chlorite; •Less sewage load by strong decrease in building of organic halogen combinations (Aox, TriHaloMethane) - Provides THM control; •Bounded Chlorine building is strongly suppressed to a negligible amount; •No strange taste occurrences - improved taste and improved color of water.

Economical Advantages:•Low volume and low concentration of Chlorine Dioxide; •No investment cost in production equipment; •No construction modifications or certifications; •No highly educated & trained employees required; •Cost of operation concerns a dosage pump with maintenance. Hospitals
