KFUPM organizes Open Day for Orientation students

where all academic departments show case the

importance of majoring in those fields. This year the

Open Day was organized on April 29-30, 2014. The

Chemistry department organized its Open Day with the

cooperation of SAICSC-ACS.

The society has several channels of communication

with its members through issuing quarterly society

newsletter called “ORGANON” as part of our great

efforts to foster better understanding and escalating

the attention to chemistry science. During this year we

published three newsletters (ORGANON) which

covered recent events, new innovations and topical

discussions.

During this year, the SAICSC-ACS has issued a booklet

titled¨ Household Chemicals Hazards Awareness¨. It

focuses on awareness of the dangers of chemicals used

in our homes on a daily basis and reduces risks

associated with their utilization. This comes from the

society’s roles in contributing to the dissemination of

science to young students and enhances awareness.

This release represents the second issue in the

Scientific Publications series.
