Supply Chain Limitation

 Achieving Global Optimization± Conflicting Objectives

± Complex network of facilities

± System Variations over time

Availability- Its somewhat flexible and is largely

based on what type of downtime one chooses toconsider in the analysis.

Flexibility- Ability of a system, such as a

manufacturing process, to cost effectively vary its

output within a certain range and give timeframe. Dependability- In quality control, degree to which an

item is capable performing its required function at

any randomly chosen time during its specified

operating period, disregarding non operation relatedinfluences.

Limitation of NMTBSA

Error Rate : 1 in 16 million transactions Six Sigma performance (99.999999) Technological Backup : Nil. Cost of service -Rs. 300/month ($ 6.00/month) Standard price for all (Weight, Distance, Space)

CONCLUSION

This presentation conclude that the supply chain is

in the veins of business as it is very critical for any

organization. In above presentation it is discussedthat how the dabbawallas of Mumbai work, how

they manage their time of delivering lunches, when

they are established, total area which they cover,

number of Tiffin's they deliver and what are theirachievements.
