Join Us for the Pre-K at Rondo Ribbon Cutting Ceremony The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Pre-K at Rondo will be held on Friday, December15th from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Benjamin E. Mays. A ceremonial ribbon will be cut to announce the opening of the Pre-K at Rondo program after a performance by the Pre-K students. Families are welcome to attend the ceremony. Tomorrow is Our 1st-, 3rd-, and 4th-Grade IB Showcase! Join us tomorrow, Thursday, December 14th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. to celebrate the IB accomplishments of our 1st-, 3rd-, and 4th-grade students. Through the Showcase, families will gain an understanding of what, and how, their students are learning using inquiry in their IB classrooms, and how to support them at home. Pizza will be served from 5:30-6:00 p.m. Student work will be showcased from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Transportation is available on request. Mays Winter is here. Part of living in Minnesota is dealing with transportation delays during snowy days. We ask you to be patient with our drivers as they negotiate slippery roads and work to get our children safely to school. Students should get to the bus stop 5 minutes before the bus is due to arrive. During poor driving conditions, the bus may be delayed. To check up-to-date busing information, please look on our Mays website at www.spps.org/mays. The bus status link on the homepage is updated regularly as drivers check in. For general transportation questions, comments, concerns, please contact Transportation Services at (651) 696-9600. In the event of school closures due to weather, notification will be sent directly to families by phone, text and email, and posted on school websites and spps.org. The SPPS Winter Weather Plan which states the conditions for school closures is posted on our website at spps.org/mays in the “Benjamin E. Mays News” section on the homepage. SAVE THE DATE!
