POLICYDaramalan College, at the discretion of the College Board, makes available a number of scholarships each
year to:
• students whose family’s current financial circumstances would otherwise prevent the student from
attending the College; and
• who have strong personal attributes that would enable them to make a significant contribution to the
life of the College.
GUIDELINES• The number, duration and type of scholarships to be offered is determined on an annual basis by the
College Board, based on recommendations from a sub-committee constituted by the Board.
• The Scholarship sub-committee will be chaired by the Principal who has responsibility for managing
and implementing decisions made by the sub-committee.
• Scholarship negotiations with families are strictly confidential.
• Scholarships are advertised in the Daramalan newsletter and on the College website.
• A Scholarship application may be made by a currently enrolled family experiencing difficult financial
circumstances, or a new family.
• Scholarship applications will be assessed on the financial circumstances of the student’s family.
• The Scholarship will be applied to the fees for the student.
• The financial situation of each Scholarship holder’s family will be reviewed annually.

DARAMALAN COLLEGE
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
FORMApplications are open to all students eligible to
enrol or to continue their enrolment at the College.
These scholarships are made possible by the
generous support provided by members of the
Daramalan family and the community.
Priority will be given to students who would
otherwise not be able to attend Daramalan on
financial grounds and who possess skills and
attributes that would enable them to make a
significant contribution to the life of the College.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONSScholarships currently being offered relate to enrolments at Daramalan College in 2021. The money provided
in scholarships will be credited to the student’s school fees.
Eligibility for scholarships will include:
• On-going enrolment at the College
• A willingness to support the Ethos of the College
• A demonstrated commitment to academic studies
• Evidence of engagement in co-curricular activities and/or school community events
• An excellent attendance record
• No significant behavioural issues
Parent(s)/Carers are required to submit with this form:
• A statement from the student, of no more than 500 words, outlining why they would like to
attend/continue at Daramalan College.
• A statement outlining the student’s involvement in Co-Curricular activities including any leadership
positions held over the past two years.
• Supporting documents relating to the family’s financial position.
All applications will be assessed by a group comprising of the Principal, the Business Manager and at least
one College Board representative.
All applications and associated negotiations will be strictly confidential between the parties involved.
Applications close on Monday 7 September 2020.
