Lobello, MSN, RN Director, Continuing Nursing Education DESCRIPTION The Saint Louis University School of Nursing was founded in 1928 and has since been a national leader in nursing education. The School of Nursing and its faculty are nationally recognized as leaders in nursing education. The School of Nursing is located on the Medical Center Campus of Saint Louis University. The facilities of the School of Nursing include three large lecture halls, classrooms, a nursing technologies laboratory, graduate research laboratories, conference rooms, faculty and staff offices, and student and faculty/staff lounges. In addition to its undergraduate offerings, programs leading to the Master of Science in Nursing (Generalist), Master of Science in Nursing (Advanced Nursing Practice), Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing degrees, and a Post-Master’s certificate are available online. Advanced nursing practice Master’s degree programs and post-Master’s certificate programs are available online for the Adult-Gerontological Primary Care, Adult- Gerontological Acute Care, Family, Pediatric Primary Care, and Family Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner options. ACCREDITATION The Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice at Saint Louis University School of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.aacn.nche.edu/ccne-accreditation) and approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. To achieve its educational objectives, the School uses the hospitals within the Health Sciences Center and many health care organizations of greater St. Louis. The School of Nursing is fully approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
